Great machine. Many fan speeds and humidity options

Great machine. Many fan speeds and humidity options. Stylish appearance, blends in nicely with surrounding areas. Can act as a great pedestal for a flower pot.
Use the Essick Air 1970 Humidifier Bacteriostatic solution to keep the wick free of bacteria. I used only a Dixie Cup's worth for every third fill or so. (Stretch the solution out!)
One thing: do not fill the unit's tub more than the fill line you'll see inside. This water height, and the tub's actual top edge are close in proximity, and if you're rolling the unit to a water source and back, it will spill over unless you go calm and slow. The tub edge should be higher for this reason, to contain the water's sloshing around.
I say this because if you're going to be bringing water to the unit, rather than the above way, it's going to take a lot of trips to refill 3.5 gallons at a time; hence you'll be looking for a more efficient way to do the refilling.
Rolling the unit to the water source is good, but smooth floors only, and no door saddles to cross. This will slosh the water right out.
They should raise the tub edge; one pitcher at a time to refill will get maddening!

Nice looking units that can pump out plenty of moisture. They work.

Here in southeastern Virginia, we don't need as much humidification as the folks further up north. But having gas heat, we do get dry enough December through February to need added moisture. We like to keep humidity around 40 percent in those months. To achieve that in our 3000 sq. ft., two-story house, we needed two of these units. They get the job done. A little work is involved, as they have to be bucket-filled about every 1 1/2 days. The fill port is not hard to access, but we find that a towel needs to be laid down to catch the spillage that often happens. Maybe I get impatient and fill too fast. In any case, these units do work, and they look nice enough that we don't have to try to hide or cover them. Running at top speeds, they're a little loud, but at the "4" setting, they are not too obtrusive by any means. We like them and have recommended them to others. We have a remote control that can set and monitor output. We think it's a nice accessory worth having. Be sure to use an antibacterial fluid in the water reservoir - - you don't want to blast yourself with mold spores and other nasties.
MESSY to fill, spills easy and LOUD FAN...just like it OK

Love it but be ready to fill constantly...MY house must be dry as a stick because we are constantly filling this thing up, water spills even if you use the water guide, so that needs work. BEWARE OF OVERFILL. There is a line inside that says to NOT FILL OVER THIS LINE, and they mean it. I fill it up with ice cream buckets and went a bit over and not knowing it ran all over carpeting...good thing I had it on a extra remnant rug. Very cheaply made but does the job I guess. For the money I spent ($150 with filter and water treatment fluid) I'd rather have bought one that goes directly ONTO YOUR FURNACE. The fan speeds are VERY LOUD the higher you get. Doesn't bother me as I like white noise sounds, but drives my husband crazy. DID NOT COME WIT REMOTE ON THIS MODEL which was a bit deceiving...It does an ok job....just messy to fill and loud
Decent whole house humidifier

Great dehumidifier--but will only work as a whole house humidifier if you place it near a forced air return. Filters appear to last 2-3 months for me (I have very hard water). My only dig so far on the unit is that it occasionally just turns itself completely off--not out of water, or at the time service interval, instead it just powers completely off. Only seen it do this about once every three weeks or so, so it's not that common, but it's not what I'd expect from one of these.
I run the fan at 4 speed, which is somewhat loud but not too bad. It easily puts 12L of water into the air daily in our NE US house.

Just got it yesterday and so far I have to say I am VERY pleased.
My sinuses are pretty sensitive to dry air as we have gas heat and I could within a short time tell a huge difference.
I particularly enjoy the ease of setup and operation
I've had whole house humidifiers in the past and this one is very simple. The ability to select from 9 different fan speeds is a nice benefit. Yes, fan speeds 6 & up are louder. But to be able to humidify our 1800 square feet upstairs in a short amount of time it was well worth it.
