Spending $500.00 on this tool was the LAST thing I wanted to do. But I swore after last year, I would NEVER rake another sweet gum ball again. It took me and my son about 5 hours to rake my lawn last year and rid it of all those damn balls. I was exhausted and was sore for days. This year, based on the positive reviews, I caved in and reluctantly bought this thing with no other obvious choice in sight.

This thing actually works and works quite well. I had 2 large trash cans full of balls in about 30 minutes with minimal effort. The third trash can took some time because it is late in the year to be collecting these damn balls and many of them have already been partially pushed into the ground from being stepped on. This thing can't pick those balls up that have been stepped on but it will grab every loose ball after a time or two across it. So I found myself going over the yard over and over while dragging my feet to kick balls loose from being stuck in ground. Then the unit would pick them up on the next pass. My son used a metal rake to "free up" the balls as well that were stuck in the ground and then I would run over it with this and as expected it would pick them up. Still took us about 2.5 hours because of all the partially stuck in ground balls, but it was still much easier and faster than before. About half the time!

It would have been an absolute piece of cake had I used this to pick up the balls BEFORE they got stepped on!

I am anxiously watching for the next round of balls to drop off my tree, and when they do, I will have them picked up in no time with this thing! That is definitely the trick. Get them picked up after they fall and before they are stepped on and you will have ZERO issues with machine.

I still think it is pricey as heck, but I would buy it again because I'm old, I'm tired, and I REFUSE to rake any more balls!

Was a little leary due to other items we have ordered to pick up the gumballs in the yard that hadn't worked. I put the harvester together without any issues. Tried it out and WOW. LOVE THIS HARVESTER!!! After 9 years of dealing with gumballs finally found something that actually works. Well worth the price.

Fantastic product! I was hesitant at first due to the price and was torn between the 12" and the 18" and I am glad I went with the larger one it was so worth the money! It picks all the sweet gum balls in the lawn with no effort at all. Several thousand twice a year. It does grab leaves and small twigs if run over but not consistently. If you are hesitant, get one you won't regret it! Would definitely recommend!

Bag-A-Nut is amazing! I have 4 40+ year old sweet gum trees in my yard. For anyone who has even one of these trees, you know those sweet gum balls are a nightmare. Imagine 4 absolutely rendering my front yard unusable! So I decided to buy the 18" version in April 2021 just to see if it worked. Here we are at the beginning of season two and my only wish is that I would have invested in the 36" version! What took me 8 hours in the past now takes 2.... LOVE. THIS. THING!

Was easy to put together and easy to use. My sweetgum tree has a 50ft diameter canopy. I can easily fill 2 lawn bags of balls in the spring and again in the winter. Being able to quickly walk around my lawn with this has been a huge help. It is a bit pricy and I worry that it sitting on the bristles might damage them, but so far so good. My only complaint comes when trying to empty the basket. Because of the basket design, I have to pay attention how I pour them into my container or I will end up having to pick up a few, again.
