Bad idea, does not work, should have done more research before I purchased it.

It don't work as expected. I think you would need two of these. One for the hot water as well as one for the cold water. I'm looking for something to avoid the white spots on the dishes, and that is what I'm rating this on. I will be buying a second one as so far the water does seem softer.
