I have been wearing this belt for 7 years now. It has held up this whole time. I am only back for this update because I want a 2 inch as well since regular gun belts are annoying and this IS NOT A TOOL BELT let alone a gun belt. I expect this belt to continue holding my pants up effectively for longer than I will be alive.
But, I've worn this belt for 3 weeks, 12-15 hours a day. I sweat A LOT when I am using my chainsaw and chopping wood. I have not had it bleed red onto my jeans or shorts once. I think the other reviewers just wear cheap, or too thin of pants while working.
Update: Over 1500 hours of wear, about 10 hours everyday for the last 5 months, and this thing is still in perfect condition. I have been poking new holes with a scratch awl as I get slimmer, but not even those holes weaken the belt at all. I think a lot of it is due to the roller on the buckle protecting the most vulnerable part of the belt from unnecessary friction. For $40, this is the most return on an investment I have ever had.

Since this belt arrived, I've used it daily! Both for work and non-work purposes. For work, I also have a belt clip for a utility pouch and the belt is holding up great. I've gone through other belts that have claimed to be 100% leather and for hardworking purposes. This one has more than proved it's worth!
The only adjustment I had to make was that when it's brand new, the red dye leached onto my pants. But it seems to have washed off.
Other than that, you are definitely getting your moneys' worth.

I hate buying belts at western wear stores- mostly junk. This belt is nice wear it everyday doing shop work. it is still looking brand new.highly recommended. it does run big. it also bleeds a little as others have said but for construction/shop work pants who cares. i like the fact that it fills the loops on my work pants so no rim roll over or pinched denim at waist.

Great belt very durable, very secure, going to have to punch in a hole since I've lost weight, It can hold a good weighted tool pouch securely. I will echo what others have said that this belt will bleed into the waist line of your pants, it washed off easily enough but it is an issue.
Much more robust than offerings from Levi's, or Amazon.
