The silver-capped lamps are getting hard to find, so I was glad to find them here at a good price. The 5000K light spectrum is great in our kitchen, they arrived in good shape, no complaints. FYI, the very first time you turn these on, you will get a little flicker and a little light show. That's normal for the first use. After that, they work great.
Silver cap vs green cap? I think I could have replaced my silver capped lamps with the green ones, but I was not positive. They contain more mercury, but I have an approved disposal place nearby, so I played it safe and went with an exact replacement.

This is a full spectrum light. I usually purchase the Dr. Ott light as he was a friend and lived near my brother st Sarasota, FL I purchase these to use as at my age we are not outside as often and this provides health benefits similar to sunlight.
Installed the new bulbs yesterday and we are very happy with the color and brightness of the product
