I am so very happy with this tea warmer. I was really skeptical on some of the choices available. Would the two ceramic teapots I have be to heavy or large for the base? How much heat can 1 tea light put out? Very happy to say I picked the Cairo Premium Teapot Warmer with a solid base instead of three legs some to the others had and both ceramic teapots sit great. They don't slide around and they sit solidly. As far as heat with my metal teapot the tea light puts out so much I can hear it starting to simmer..so now I get to use my ceramic which I did not prior. I in fact purchased the metal restaurant style teapot as the metal would hold the heat a little longer. No more! I can look for teapots that are ceramic that I think are so nice to look at and handle. My metal teapot is in the back of the cupboard. There was 1 tea light that came with the Cairo warmer and honestly I am going to see if I can purchase more from GROSCHE or find out where they get them. 7 hours plus I got from the one candle. Reading through the tea light candles offered most were 4 to 6 hours. I am very pleased.

I have been enjoying this teapot warmer now for a while. Although I don't make a full pot of tea every day, when I do use it, it is functional and decorative and keeps my tea hot in the pot until it is gone. And you can purchase the tea lights for pennies. It is very enjoyable to linger over tea, knowing that it will stay hot.

Easy to use; great looks; keeps my Hario all-glass tea pot safe and warm. I noticed that some people in the reviews don't like the large opening on the side (for aesthetic reasons); however, I appreciate that it allows me to move the burning candle without the risk of my hand touching the flame.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I have a clear glass Bodum tea pot that I recently purchased to brew my loose leaf tea. The problem I encounter is that I like my tea really strong so I steep it for longer than most. Of course what ends up happening is my tea goes from soothingly hot to merely warm in the process. I bought this product to combat that and keep my tea hot during the entire steeping process and then afterwards while i slowly sip through the pot.

Honestly this is a relatively simple product so the functionality of it really isn't too dependent on any aspect of the design. I choose this purely for aesthetic reasons. The metal is thick enough that I don't have to worry about it getting too bent out of shape during storage. The only reason this gets 4 starts out of 5 is because of something about my particular tea pot and the way it fits on top. My teapot tapers towards the bottom as most do. The teapot warmer has an opening to allow the candle to do it's work and get the heat up to the pot without making the metal of the warmer too hot. The issue I have is the my teapot is still rounded a bit and therefore has to be placed on the warmer just right. Otherwise it might tilt and possibly spill. Not all teapots will have this issue. If there was some sort of grate over the opening, that would make the pot sit on top more securely. I may find something to do that so i can confidently place my teapot on the warmer without fear of a tip or spill. Still overall a great product and i don't regret making the purchase, but my particular teapot isn't 100% secure when placed on the warmer.

Sturdy, aesthetically appealing, very functional. Holds and warms my small teapot as well as my 1 and 3/4 pint ceramic bakeware piece, which makes it a great alternative to an electric or sterno-heated chafing dish when what I need is something nice looking that isn't enormous. Excellent product.
