Get this chair! Easy to clean, modern, soft, hides food well and machine washable!

This chair is amazing! We absolutely love this chair for our kitchen island for our LO. Our family members absolutely love it as well and wish they had gotten this one. We didn't want a big chair that took up a lot of room. I searched high and low for an adjustable height chair - one that would work with our kitchen table and one that worked with our island (counter height). Every chair option out there was either a large footprint in the kitchen, awful to clean and looked like a traditional baby high chair. We also wanted something that blended with our kitchen. One number one priority was cleaning. I spent hours searching reviews where they constantly talked about how food gets stuck in nail/crevices, mold growth, awful to clean, etc. My husband and I are clean people so this was so important to us. In reading other reviews for this chair:
(i) Igore those that say it is hard to put together and take apart. It is not. Spend a few minutes reading the instructions and you will see it is easy. It takes all of five minutes. One item to note is the push button that allows the arms to connect is not facing the same direction on both arms - one is on the side facing and the other is floor or ceiling facing. This is helpful when disassembling and assembling the chair.
(ii) It is so easy to attach to any island or table. It takes all of 2-3 minutes. We take this chair out all the time for eating in restaurants. I did not want my baby sitting in the gross restaurant chairs. She loves it!
(iii) I listening to other reviewers and I agree. It is completely machine washable. Your baby will get food and wipe their hands all over the chair. We wipe it after each use and you can barely see any food. This is because we have the black color. I would only get navy or black. Unless you look closely, you cannot see any food due to the black color. Food will get stuck in the fabric after a while. But because it's dark, you can only tell up close and this is wear the machine washable comes it. It is so easy to disassemble that we take it apart and machine was it every two/three weeks. We wash it on cold and gentle and air dry. It air dries in two hours. Five minutes later back together! All the food in the fabric that was barely noticeable, except to us (as we are anal) is completely gone!
(iii) Don't get a bright color if you don't want it to look dirty. With the black, you cannot see the food unless you look hard for it.
(iv) I love the safety harness. Our LO is smaller and she is so secure in it. I also like how the Velcro strap covers the snap so food doesn't get inside it. I read reviews in other high chairs of using q-tips to get out food. Not an issue with this chair because of the strap covering it.
(v) I agree with the other reviewers. I like how this has a bag built in to carry it and the pocket in the back for whatever you need it for. I do wish the handle on the bag wasn't a string but was thicker and more padded. It hurts on my shoulder. That said, it's quick walk to restaurants and you are not caring it to long.
Bottom line - get this chair if you want a chair that is easy to clean, hide any foot well and don't want a traditional baby chair. You will not be disappointed! I can't say enough how much we love this chair! I wouldn't get the tray with this, if you are wondering. You don't need it. Just anothe item to clean.
The other chair we got for the table height is baby bjorn. Clean and we love it!

Love having this handy. Our daughter grew faster than average so her infant car seat was too small before we knew it. This was a good replacement. Once tightened on a table, the grip is so solid it feels like you could lift with it. I was suprised how stable it was.
Restaurants can be unpredictable about baby supplies. Whether they have them at all, if they are clean, if they are already in use, if they have to be used only at a table... whatever it is. This seat gives us the flexibility. We can sit wherever we want, booth or table. We know we have it.
Its also easy to bring to family gatherings where there might not be a highchair. It attaches to a kitchen island or kitchen table perfectly. I have yet to run into a table it doesnt fit on. Knowing that we have exactly what we need gives me peace of mind.
The carrying bag is a nice perk that I wouldnt go without either. Its attached to the seat so all you do is collapse the seat, recerse the bag over it and close the drawstring. Its something I didnt appreciate until I actually had it.

good concept but material and design flaws make it a terrible burden to clean

the idea of this chair is good. i love baby sitting up to table with us but there are some major flaws to consider. If your baby does not make any messes at all then this would be ok. but this is real life. the material is hard to clean. the velcro piece that covers the buckle traps food and i have to use a scrub brush and toothbrush to clean this chair. the seat traps everything and has grooves along inside edge that is impossible to get clean, plus the seat portion lifts up so that means stuff gets under it too. It says the cover is removable for washing which i thought was great, but come to find out you have to disassemble it to get it off and wash it, which i don't want to do every single day. The tray is cool, but it is curved at the front edge (by baby) so that half of the food falls right into the space between your baby and the tray- making the food falling into seat as well as a small space on the table even worse and more clean up. half of the time i just leave it off because i will have to clean the table so much anyway. Id like to take this chair and make some modifications and then it would be a great idea!
Gap = critical design flaw
vagabond phoenix✓ Verified Purchase•September 5, 2017
When it arrived, we immediately noticed a rather critical design flaw of the Inglesina Fast Chair - namely that there is a nearly two-inch gap between the front of the chair and the table on account of the vertical tube placement used to secure the seat to the table. The result is that all food placed in front of my toddler is IMMEDIATELY swept onto the floor, to our dog's great delight. If you look closely at the pictures and video (something I did not initially see when I was evaluating my purchase), the addition of the tray merely serves to protect the table surface; the gap remains.
Otherwise, the materials used for the chair seem to be good quality and sturdy. I think the other design features are very thoughtful, such as the back pocket and the integrated carrying bag (accessed from behind under the seat platform.) It seemed to hold very securely to the table - I had no concerns about how solidly it attached, although twisting the vertical tubes every time we wanted to move or adjust the chair was tedious.
Ultimately and with great disappointment we had to purchase another one that does not have this gap (namely, the Chicco 360 - and I have no financial interest in endorsing that one over this one - I just want parents to know what they are purchasing and what at least one alternative is.)

Best high chairs I have ever used!
katy✓ Verified Purchase•July 9, 2017
I absolutely love these chairs! I run a daycare and use them every day! They clean so easily with just a wet towel. The material is thick and sturdy and they screw very snugly on the table! I have seen reviews from people saying the belt is not tight enough but I have never had that problem with all ages of children. My number one choice of high chair! Plus they fold down and can be put in the storage bag attached very quickly and easily. I have used many kind of high chairs but these are the best, space saving and great for travel.
