Poor QA-frayed fiber glass after minimal use and safe storage
Gregory Ellis✓ Verified Purchase•July 9, 2017
Poor quality control. I bought these a year ago. I tested them out on the bow with a few arrows and then put them in their case stored in a controlled environment. I take them out a week ago, and as I pick up the limbs, a fiber glass needle drives through my thumb. Appears the fiberglass layer had splintered. Remember, these things were stored in a case with the stalk safely in a shelf just for then. No exposure to trauma it elements. I shaved the fiber glass strands off the corner and tested, but since more than a year has passed, a return is not possible. Feel uncertain using the limb too much because the structural integrity of the fiberglass is probably substandard. Too bad, because i love the bow itself.

South Korean made,,,(maybe),, genuine Samick Sage 35# limbs that fit perfectly Sold by ASC inc.
3/14/17
45# limbs sold by Bois Blanc Supply. These also were genuine Samich that fit perfectly,,, however the lower limb had cosmetic if not structural issues ( a crease in the laminate and blemishes to the finish). Possibly seconds?
But getting back to where SAS makes their limbs: I checked with two archery suppliers and got slightly different answers.
One said the limbs were made in China and South Korea and the other that all SAS bows and limbs are now made in China..
Either way,,,Chinese production sanctioned by SAS under their quality control I don't have a problem with.

even better than the original Polaris limbs

Bought these limbs to upgrade my Samick Polaris bow - fir perfectly, even better than the original Polaris limbs. New limbs made a great improvement to the bow.
Sage limbs, not Samick limbs
Shark•June 19, 2016
I'm not sure if all the 5 star reviews got actual Samick limbs, but mine were cheap imitations. They didn't fit properly onto the riser. The holes were drilled incorrectly so you couldn't secure them all the way down. Obviously fakes being passed off as originals under the "Sage" name. I would spend a little more to get the real Samick limbs.
Be careful, many dealers are selling Chinese fakes
Anonymoose•January 27, 2016
I received a 25lb set that did not fit the bow, then from Hunters Bundler I received Chinese fakes. The made in China stickers were still on the limbs. They were of inferior quality, and the tips were not reinforced or integrated into the limbs correctly. So unless Samick is now a garbage company, these are fakes.
