I went to use these the other day for the first time and realized one was cracked all the way across the lid. They are a decent little case for camping but I wouldn't put much faith in the waterproof claim.

It is made of very brittle plastic. The sort used in cheap toys but rarely seen anymore because it easily breaks and the shards are dangerous to children. The same cheap plastic should not be used in an item that is likely to be used in water activities holding valuables. Mine turned up crack already on arrival and it was well protected in an Amazon box. Even if it wasn't cracked I would not use this item as it's too thin and fragile to be trusted with valuables in water. Well done to the seller for selling something so cheap to make for a good price - your mark up must be substantial. For a few cents more you could make it out of a decent ABS plastic!
