Perfect for Transporting Mobility Scooter
Thomas•December 3, 2016
Item was perfect and makes it extremely easy for my 79-year old father-in-law to transport his mobility scooter on his van. Love the item
A great, easy to use carrier that folds up when not needed. Loaded with great ideas and easy to use. Very nice indeed

My chair is a heavy duty model with 2 drive wheels in the center and four stabilizer wheels around the corners (Pride Jazzy 614HD), so a carrier with a ramp was no good as my chair would not climb it, so I had to step up to a lift. It's worked very well for about 6 months now I think. I sometimes have problems getting my chair on the pad. This is mostly user error as I'm getting used to loading it now. As far as the lift, it was very easy to install, very easy to wire, and very easy to use, just watch your head when lining up to drive on it and don't smack yourself on the motor like I did.. look to the other side to drive on it. It has everything to get in installed and going if you have a 2 x 2 inch hitch slide hole. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up in fact. The hold down straps are nice as well. you pull the middle and pull it up and the hook is free to pull across and hook to the other side to hold your chair, it even has spring tension to keep it tight as you do this. Then you just push the handle to halfway and ratchet it tight, then push it down to lock it and you are ready in seconds. Nicer than I expected it to be, and appears to be pretty tough so far. Will update if problems arise. It's also nice to be able to fold it up when you don't need it, which it does automatically if no weight is on it. I really can't think of anything they missed with this lift. If it lasts it is well worth the money.
