This cutter, branded for HomeFlex, has an extra large cutting wheel and cuts deeper than traditional tubing cutters. Capable of cuts almost 3/16" deep in tubing up to 1" in diameter, it reaches the valleys of CSST flex pipe better than traditional pipe cutters. As a result, cuts are very clean. If cutting a lot of CSST, then you want this tool.

Tubing cutter is no different then any of the other tubing cutters I've used. I picked this one because I thought that maybe this was a specific special one used to cut home flex gas piping. Worked great but was more expensive then it needed to be. Would rather have bought a normal cutter without a Home flex brand name to save money for the same tool, plus I could have picked up local and not had to wait for the 2 day shipping.

This cutter MUST be used if you are installing CSST. It is sharp and works smoothly. Very good tool although a little overpriced but that is due to it's specific usage.
