Let's be upfront. This takes time.....

I'll cut to the chase. This is a great system, but it's time consuming to set it up the first time. I read reviews on how quickly people set their systems up. They are either professional installers, or lying. You need a minimum of 3 hours to install the first time. Also, you'll want to use more tools than the installation instructions call for. There are zero screws or bolts pre-installed. EVERY piece needs to be put together.
Let's face it, DECKED did that to save on labor or equipment. I expected a bit more pre-fab from the factory for $1149. It's like buying furniture from IKEA. I did put the system together by myself, with no buddy. There's a lot of hardware!
That being said, I probably still would have bought the box. It fits my needs well, and I like it. I'll give the box itself 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars if it were a better fit to the outsides areas. A shaped trim piece could be a nice addition in the future.
I think that a professional could put this box together in 1-2 hours. Novices, even mechanically inclined like me, should give themselves much more time.

Love this storage system. Came LTL carrier on a pallet, no issues or damage. Installed it into the back of my 2014 Ram 1500. It took me about 3 hours by myself. The instructions recommend a friend to lift the assembled halves into the bed, but not required. Lift one end, tip it up, and slide it in. Go easy on tightening the J-bolts at the corners, it will make the center bow up slightly. Another nice feature is that my DeeZee truck toolbox still fit in over the DECKED bed. The DECKED videos for installation and use are right on the money, very well produced!
