Super fun, fast, we bought two

Wow. These things are fun. I am very happy to see that the reviews I read before buying were pretty accurate. I bought two of these little tanks for my son's birthday and we love them. The controller takes 4 AA batteries and then charges the tank via a small cable that tucks away into the controller, it's pretty smart actually. We have hard wood floors and these little guys rip around so fast, they do tend to get caught up a little on the area rugs but going back and forth usually loosens them up. The description says the tanks go for about 15 minutes on one charge but I think it's longer. They recharge fairly quickly. I hope they last for a long time!

Got this for my 5 year old grandson - kept it for myself! Smaller, and faster, than expected. Speed definitely not to scale. Dog is scared to death of the noise. Neat recoil effect when cannon fired. Only con is the short charging cord. Very detailed. Buy it for grandkids, keep it for yourself!!

Very nice item, good detail. Our 8-year old son loves playing with it.
I am giving it 3 starts though because the item did not work out of the box. The controller has a defect where battery separators and terminals are misaligned, leaving about 1 mm gap between batteries (making toy non-operable). I ended up breaking off battery separators to allow batteries touch together. After this repair/modification toy works nicely.
I may buy more similar items in the future. I hope manufacturer corrects the defective design though.
Update (from 3 to 5 start):
Manufacturer contacted me and sent replacement item free of any charges. New item worked perfectly. Great follow up and service.

Great Micro R/C tank for 15 bucks

Great Micro R/C tank for 15 bucks! Only thing I didn't like about the tank was the sound so I took it apart so I could remove the speaker which is very simple. It has 3 screws on the bottom to remove the top half of the tank. Once inside its 2 screws to remove the turret gear housing. Then you have access to the speaker. Once I removed the speaker, I weighed so I could replace the speaker with a slightly heavier object to give it more traction and better battery life. Because that speaker was .5 watts and it was a constantly on. The speaker weighed about 5.1 grams and about the size of a penny around and 2-3 pennies tall. So I gathered up some pennies and weighed them. Older pennies way more then new ones. So I used two older pennies from the 60's and 70's which added up to about 6 grams about .8 gram increase in weight and .5 watts less drain on the battery. For a smudge more battery life and grip lol . So overall a bad ass tank.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE IT !!! I have 3 HengLong 1/16 and the IR 1/24 (2pak) scale battle tanks and this little guy will out run them all !! It's not as graceful or eligent in its movements but OMG is it fun and it charges quickly . I put a crazy pony fpv camra on it and the cats are so curious and you can play hide and seek!. BE SURE TO CHARGE IT FULLY THE FIRST TIME !! And store it charged ! Great buy !!
