These hard drives are probably no where near the amount of storage that they sell them as. I got to installing maybe up to 86 GB free of data and the console failed to go past the account sign in menu. Without the hard drive, the console was fine.

The price is tempting, but it's very frustating to have a hard drive that won't even format so you can send it back. Don't even think about buying this.

I purchased this hard drive for my XBOX 360 (which was new at the time) in July 2015. It is now September 2016 and the hard drive has completely failed- not only did myself and my stepson lose a year's worth of information, but the hard drive is unable to format and has to be thrown in the trash. Seems like a good deal for the money but don't waste your time- I'm ok as an adult with restarting games but my stepson is only 8 and he's very upset that all of his Minecraft worlds that he spent countless hours building are completely lost for good. Quite a few temper tantrums (and I can't blame him!) Thanks a LOT. VERY unsatisfied customer. When purchasing electronics, especially hard drives, it's best to just go with the brand name and skip the generic garbage. Lesson learned.

Do not buy this hard drive. I wouldn't think i'd write a bad review for something as straight-forward as a hard drive, but it complete corrupted my saved data not just once, but twice. The first time was forgivable and I kept playing on, then a month or so later, it crashed again and it's displayed as "unformatted storage." In other words, it works great for a while and then microsoft decides it can't recognize it and dumps all of your stored save games.

Microsoft is quite a greedy company, it's best not to use after-market merchandise w/ their stuff, i've found. Solid advice, yah?

I would give it a 4.5 if I could. I am caught between a rating of 4 or 5 stars. I don't think it bothers me, but this is for other buyers. It said 120G, I only got 106G. More than 20G it was great for me.

I have recently gone from Xbox gamer to PC. Part of the reason was that my old Microsoft internal slim hard drive somehow broke. One day it just didn't work anymore. I had to take it out, along with all my hours of saves and games.

I didn't get rid of the Xbox 360 though. I liked using Netflix and Youtube on it. I also loved my Mass Effect series 20g DLC..Oh WAIT. I only have 4G.

I didn't want to buy a file transfer device, so this was a very nice affordable alternative. I don't think I will game as much as I did before. on the Xbox 360. I just wanted enough space for the DLC. So far this has been a good solution. I only got this yesterday =)
