So much BETTER than those lousy pet store flakes!
Kimberly Link✓ Verified Purchase•January 4, 2018
I have never had fresh water fish live this long before! I was so sick of them dying in a few months on those flakes they sell in every single pet store. I did some research and heard about this food. It only takes a minute to make (microwave 2 teaspoons of hot water, add 1 tsp of Repashy, stir, wait for it to quickly set in the fridge and then cut into cubes). I have a tiny lid-sealed bowl that works perfectly and keeps the food fresh in the fridge. I serve my 60 gallon tank of fish 2x daily and the cubes last a week. While the fish were hesitant to eat their new food at first, they took to it within a few days. I really enjoy feeding my fish out of hand, which is really easy with these cubes. I have 4 large & fancy goldfish, a bunch of neons, a black tetra, some platy fish, a talking catfish and a pleco. All of them are thriving on this food!
The best for my goldfish

I did a research and this was very recommended. After I received it and made a first batch, I was worried if my fish will like it, but after they tried, now they will almost jump out of water to get more ðŸ˜. Very happy fish with nice bright colors. Aquarium is not messy and I know my goldfish is eating healthy food. Very easy to prepare. I am also using tiny silicone cube molds, which helps to prepare and store repashy food easily in a fridge and in a freezer.
Excellent quality. Simple to prepare. Fish love it.

I use this in my Oranda goldfish tank. They are flourishing, happy and healthy! It takes just a few minutes to prepare using gummy molds, then I just let it set, toss it in the freezer for a few hours, then pop them out of the molds and store them in a tupperware container in the freezer. I also keep a weeks worth at a time in the fridge. I'm sold and won't use anything else as their staple diet. The quality is excellent, the fish and snails love it and it doesn't cloud the water at all like many of the pellet and flake foods will.
Great addition to a balanced diet, and my goldfish loves it

Easy to make, and my goldfish loves it. My goldfish is a picky eater (spits out flakes) and has a sensitive digestive system (tends to get "floaty" swim bladder problems when he eats dried pellets too often). I also feed him frozen food, but this is a great new addition as it contains more added vitamins. I think it's a great staple to incorporate in a balanced diet.
One thing I will note is that it took my goldfish a few weeks to understand that this food sinks. He had been used to floating food for most of his life (either floating pellets or frozen food which initially floats), so he was very confused and disoriented when this food sank immediately. After it sank, he would look around, still waiting at the top of the water, as if to say, "Not sure what that was.... But, anyway, where's my real food?" I had to train him to search for the food at the bottom of the tank (even had to point it out and move it around with a stick to get his attention), and he finally got the hang of it and realized it was edible.

Our goldfish love this food, but it turns the tank cloudy or green if we feed it to them every day. We've reduced to using this food to about once every third day and using a frozen multipack of various bloodworms/shrimp/etc for all other feedings. The fish still love it though.
I do wish it came with some sort of container to mix and store the food in. Since this is a dehydrated powder, you have to mix it with water, then refrigerate the food once it's made. I have to mix the food every couple of weeks and it wouod be great to have a small container provided to mix it into that could also be used for fridge storage. For now I'm using a small container that used to hold cucumber eye pads.
Also be aware, this food smells atrocious when rehydrating it. Doesn't smell once the mixture has solidified and been refrigerated, though.
