This is a good, strong magnet mount. It does not detach too easily and it doesn't move - even on an all terrain golf car traveling flat out on uneven pavement. I'm not a big fan of all the plastic but again, given that I had it on an all-terrain golf car, that I was traveling flat out on broken pavement and the plastic didn't move a bit, I guess I can live with it.
What I can't live with are the scratches that this mount put all over my paint. Despite using the provided scratch protector, this scored the h-e-double-hockey-sticks out of my paint. That's not good and I really won't be able to use this for its intended purpose again. Fortunately, I do have other photography uses for it, but be warned - it scratched up my paint like 60 grit paper.

I don't think you could find a better small magnetic camera mount at any price! Works great with Sony Handi Cam!
