Stay away! Look at photos of my burned-up battery (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Props to the seller (ThousandShores), who was very responsive to my complaint and wanted to make things right (and have me updated my review, of course). They quickly sent a replacement, and so far so good. I'll reserve final judgement, of course, because my original light was excellent for a couple of months before burning out.
Oxyled also responded with an offer to replace, although they claimed the problem must have been with my battery, certainly not their product. Since I had inserted four brand new, fresh-out-of-the-package Duracells I remain very skeptical of that claim. (Unfortunately I had disposed of the light so I couldn't provide the information they requested).

Light seemed great at first but died in less than 90 days in a lightly used closet. When I went to change the batteries the bottom one would not come out. It had been fried by this dangerous product. Turns out the battery was heavily burned and leaking chemicals.
It's clear from the reviews that quality control is lacking with this product. You might get a good one, or you might get a fire hazard like mine.

How we customized this awesome little light:

This is a little gem for lighting the microwave cabinet. Because of where it's installed, we only wanted the light to go on via the motion sensor when reaching for the microwave and not when folks were walking by. Also, the sensor that reacts to the light in the room was very sensitive and we could not get the light to go on without covering the sensor (it's opposite where the batteries go in). A simple fix with some electric tape solved both problems. We wrapped the motion sensor (in the center) with tape so it only reacts when there is motion directly below it (see photo) and cut a little square of tape to cover the light sensor. Now we have the perfect solution! The light pops right on when you reach for the microwave!
Poor quality, sub-standard sensor, many units non-functional.

This product does not work properly. I bought 1 and then 5 additional units thinking I would find a few that worked correctly. The problem is poor quality and sub-standard electronics in the sensor. All 6 of these units did not sense motion correctly, and did not light properly with fresh batteries. Despite the obvious and consistent problem with the product, there are gold "QC" quality control stickers on all of them. I'm confident that the quality testing process is flawed, or isn't performed at all. No inspector would have let these pass on for delivery in their non-working state. It is possible that another consumer could receive a unit that works properly, or that these products that I received were part of a "batch" of defective equipment. I do not recommend this product to Amazon consumers.
Work great as hidden night lights
CAROLYN BREWER✓ Verified Purchase•January 12, 2016
I bought these , and added them to areas for motion type night lights. They work great. One comment is point out is that they say you can remove and move them, which is true. But the tape is strong. So it was hard to pull the magnetic strip once stuck. For the other three, I just pulled off like 2" pieces on each end, and stuck. It still holds, yet much easier to move, if needed.
