The heads are disposable, so you need a new one each time. Bad for the environment and my wallet. I had trouble using it with my arthritis too ðŸ˜

Note that this starter kit is not braces friendly, so for someone who had to educate themselves to get this for the first time (like me), here it is. I bought this regular starter for my 6 years-old and another set for my 8yo. The younger still has to learn to coordinate his hands, it seems that he does better with flosser so still has a learning curve. The ortho kit is perfect for my oldest with braces, and it is so much better than having to thread floss tooth after tooth. He is very happy and learned how to manage it pretty fast.
