Starch that’s good for you . . .whaaat?!?

I admit, I didn't buy this for cooking, although it did do a good job at thickening sauces. I bought this for the health benefits of resistant starch so I'm basically taking this stuff raw (mixed with water or milk). I can't comment on the effectiveness of resistant starch yet since I just started using it. I read it can take weeks of continuous use before you start reaping the benefits like weight loss, positive effects on blood glucose/insulin response and feeding the good bacteria in the gut. Plus since I've been taking this I've been sleeping better with vivid dreams. I know sounds crazy, right?!
I chose Anthony's brand because it's "˜unmodified organic.' That's important when choosing a resistant starch. I researched more products from Anthony's and like what they're about. Quality. Non-gmo. Minimally processed. Batch tested. I found myself adding more of their products on my Amazon wishlist. Plus, I like their whimsical product descriptions. 😜

Makes for satisfying veggies

Just started using this product, and I am personally amazed. 1 tablespoon of this white powder mixed with my hot watery vegetables, makes a nice thick sauce, making all my veggie dishes more filling and satisfying. The only downside (and this is really minor) is that the starch should be added AFTER cooking so as to not lessen its nutritional value.
Great product, shipping

Great product, shipping. I got the book Eat Fat Get Thin by Mark Hyman MD. This way of eating has changed my life heath wise. The potatoes starch is a preprobiotics something your body needs. Suggested in the book.
Great flour!

I cook. A lot. This flour is perfect mixed with other flours for a gluten free cornucopia of recipes and baked goods!
Great thickener for soups, gravy and stews, and it's organic!

I use potato starch instead of cornstarch for thickening gravy, soups and stews, since cornstarch is almost always GMO. This 5 pound bag of non-GMO potato starch will last for years, but stores for years in the zip-top stand-up bag. It's also cheaper per pound than Bob's Red Mill, which I used before I discovered Anthony's here on Amazon.
