HUGE headaches with nuisance tripping

I have had nothing but trouble with these breakers - nuisance tripping on different circuits daily, old, modern and brand new. They MAY be exposing underlying deficiencies in the wiring, but I think maybe they just really aren't up to snuff. A big investment in disappointment and irritation rather than safety is my experience anyway. I don't think I should have to replace everything in my house that has a motor or a switch in it, nor should I have to buy Siemens special diagnostic tool - hundreds of dollars - to determine if there's a problem with the breakers or not. The tripping usually happens after some longish time, 10 minutes-4 hours. I thought they'd figured out how to have these required items work by this time. Baffling...
Replaced QAF with QAF2 breaker -- Works as expected

My 5 year old Siemens QAF 20A breaker tripped repeatedly. At first, about a year after usage, it started tripping once every few months. Recently, it has gotten worse, tripping maybe once every month. I couldn't find the type QAF anymore, so I swapped it out for this which is type QAF2. I could only find a few pieces of information on QAF2, but it seems to be an improved version of QAF. So far so good. Wish the information was more readily available on the "type". Hopefully this one lasts longer than the old breaker.
I've read that these go bad from time to time so I'm glad this solved ...

Two of my old Arc Fault Breakers were tripping quite often for no known reason. I replaced them with new ones and the problem is fixed. I've read that these go bad from time to time so I'm glad this solved the issue.

How can I give it 5 stars when a microwave trips it? I bought these to pass inspection but AFCIs are so sensitive my shop vac and microwave trip it. My contractors had to run extension cords to other outlets without AFCI protection to run their equipment because these keep tripping. Upon final inspection these are coming out and regular breakers are going back in. How safe is that???
