Not bright enough
SS✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 6, 2018
The lights are not strong enough, or maybe they are spaced too far apart, but does not illuminate enough to read a book. I've had other lighted reading glasses that worked great, but these no so much. I just use them as regular readers now.
Good but....

Pros:
I like these glasses a lot. They magnify well, are clear, and I love the lights. I use these primarily when working in adult coloring books, and the lighting is great; not too funny and not too harsh.

Cons:
They are a little bulky on the sides, but that's to be expected since they require batteries.

They require 4 coin batteries.

2 of the batteries were dead upon arrival, so I couldn't use them until I picked up more.

The batteries are 1620, which is non standard, and harder to find in stores (none to be found at our local Walmart). I had to pay $5.99 each at Walgreens for them.

Only used it a handful of times, and the original batteries have now died.

So, no I wouldn't purchase these again. I would look for a pair that uses more of a standard size coin battery; otherwise you will be out a small fortune in batteries.
Lights don't work and heavy.

Not good as one light blinks off and on. I use them for readers but they are very heavy and lights don't work. Waste of money. :(
Poorly designed

Not worth the money. The light points in the wrong direction if you are looking down at your work. The light is way too bright inside the glasses, nearest to your eyes. I had to put stickers over that part to keep the glare out of my eyes. These glasses need to go back to the laboratory for further study and be re-designed. I ordered new batteries, but they still don't light. They're extremely pitiful and worthless now.
Had lens replacements for near or near/far vision? You may like these!

When I bought these glasses, they just didn't work for me. After having cataract surgery I have found that I need more light for reading than I used to (although I have a Kindle, sometimes I just feel like reading a paper book). My lens implants are for vision both near and far so reading glasses are not needed, and really don't work at all.

Next I tried a variety of lights for reading at night, but none seemed to work. First I purchases a few headlamps but the focus of the lights was too narrow and I found myself turning my head constantly instead of moving my eyes. Next, I bought a book light, but that thing seemed to be only for hardback books as it constantly moved or fell off of paperbacks, and had to be moved from the left page to the right page constantly; spent more time adjusting the light than reading. Next, I tried a clipboard with a light, but again, more futzing with the light than reading. Then one day I happened to rediscover these lighted reading glasses in my nightstand drawer, and the light went off.... not a real light, an idea light.

I took the glasses to the workshop, grabbed a small hammer, and smashed the lenses and picked out the plastic fragments. PERFECT! The lights in these glasses (sans glass) provide plenty of light for night reading, and with no lenses, there are no magnification issues! They are not all that comfortable for wearing around, but for reading in bed? PERFECT!

The frames are of sufficient quality for occasional wear; the lens quality? Well, I'm not a judge of the lens or magnification quality, but I will say breaking them up was not all that easy. Since I haven't used them much yet I also can't speak to the battery life but it was very easy to get the batteries in them, and turning them off and on is very easy as well. If I broke them would I buy another pair? Definitely!
