I bought this for a small area.. It was dirt and grass. I read the reviews about putting it on dirt but I' really wanted something different so I gave it a try. I killed the grass underneath first with round up. My ground is fairly compact but it has worked out great. It flexes to the ground and all stays together .

Living in Hawaii you have to select wise items that are weather proof, salt and red dirt etc...

In total I ordered 11 boxes to complete my yoga deck... Have a few left over to make steps on the back.. Very pleased and happy. May order more for an outdoor shower project !
