This light is very bright when it is dark out. It has a wide radius, or you can zoom in and see a very concentrated spotlight. The zooming capability is done easily by sliding the flashlight back and forth. It also has a little tassle on the handle you can hold or tie to something.

It is small, lightweight, and extremely useful for camping, or even to keep in the car or house if there is no power.

I just bought my second light because I actually dropped mine my accident in a creek about 3 feet deep at night (It was still shining from the bottom of the creek) I reached in and pulled it out, and it still works, but it is slightly dimmed, so I have decided to buy another. I am putting this down as a pro though, because it is not advertised to be able to be fully submerged in water and still work, and this light does, although it did slightly dim the light.
A Flashlight Like No Other You Have Tried

[I recommend watching the video i included in this review so you can see it in action]

Really great flashlight overall, I've always had those normal 20-50 lumen flashlights you buy on stores the $5-10 yellow plastic flashlights you find everywhere and they have always been meh but since i didn't know better i was happy with them.
Most would rely only on normal AA batteries and didn't had rechargeable included batteries, the last ones i had bought did have it and let me tell you included rechargeable batteries is a must now.
Well finally some weeks ago i was browsing the internet and came around to find this product, had pretty solid reviews and stated that it has 800 lumen, so i was like WOW gotta try it. Bought it and oh man once i tried and use it it was a day and light difference with those other lame flashlights, lets start with the build, this one's made from aluminum alloy and feels super sturdy and that it can withstand some drops, the other flashlights I've had in the past where all plastic and would always break because you know flashlights somehow will always eventually fall down but i'm confident that when that happens to this flashlight it WILL survive without a problem.
The brightness is awesome, again first time I've tried a 100+ lumen flashlight and i'm amazed by that power this small flashlight has, it is smaller than all other flashlights I've had and its like 50x brighter.
So there you go, definitely recommended at this price and even if it was some $ more i would say it is worth it and that it will be a total difference from what you are used to when buying on normal stores.
The only thing i'm not liking so much is the square shape of the light when its totally focused, it doesn't affect anything at all its just weird... maybe it's because i'm so used to just circular shaped light beams.
For a budget light, it's a little better than many others.

For a budget light, it's not bad.

Here are the stats. Without the head extended it's 5.3" long. It's just a hair over 6" WITH the head extended. It weighs 172 grams with the included 18650 battery installed.

It has the usual modes -- low, medium, high, strobe & SOS. There's no memory, so it will always turn back ON in high mode. To cycle through the modes, give the switch a very light press while it's on. The head has fairly good tension when moving it forward and backward. It stays in place where it's left.

The product page here, says it's 800 lumens. Well, for the first time, this is actually a budget flashlight that does NOT artificially inflate its claim! In comparison of the beam brightness, I took out my Sunwayman T25C, which is a higher-end focusing light. Its claim to brightness is 880 lumens. In an unscientific side by side test, the beams of BOTH lights were identical. When I compared the OxyLED next to the "supposedly" 900 lumen beam of the Refun A100, the Oxy was BRIGHTER. I've always known the A100 isn't 900 lumens...and the Oxy proved that.

Here are my thoughts on the included battery and charger.

Charge the battery when you first open the package. Mine arrived with a "travelling voltage" of 3.76

The battery label claims 1800mAh...which is rather weak. I ran the light (on high) to see how long that might last. After about 20 minutes the light was noticeably warm...to mild hot. This is normal. I continued to let it run, and it did so for just over an hour before the output started to dim.

The battery (like most that are included FREE in flashlight kits) is not protected with an over-discharge circuit. I know this, because as I continued to let the light run...the output became dimmer and dimmer. After it became so dim that the light is essentially useless, I tested the battery voltage again. It was down to 2.60v. Obviously there's no circuit, otherwise it would not have been allowed to discharge that deeply. I then charged the battery completely to see how many mA's the battery would accept. When finished, it was at 1218mAh. This is certainly less than the claimed 1800. The didn't try the included charger, however it says on the back, that it uses a 500mA current. That's not too bad...but, for a depleted 18650, that would take many hours to complete (probably more than 8 depending on the capacity).

Anyway, I guess for the price they're charging, it's not bad. They say it's IPX-6 waterproof... but I haven't used it heavy rain so I wouldn't know. They say it has an impact resistant glass lens... may be so, I haven't dropped it from 5 feet to find out. Of course it doesn't have the features of a $40 light...it can't. Of course you have to cycle through the flashing modes to get from medium...back to high; because they're not hidden. Of course the light dims when the battery weakens, because it has no voltage regulation circuit. For this price...it can't.

As for batteries, it comes with the cage to accept 3 AAA's as a backup for the 18650. But with ANY 18650 flashlight that offers AAA capabilities...you're a fool if you choose those as your primary power source. An 18650 is ALWAYS the better choice!

Take a look at the pictures I've attached. I think they'll give you a pretty good idea what to expect ---beam-wise--- with the OxyLED.

Hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.
Good light - works as advertised UPDATED review
D. Connor✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 4, 2016
Good light - works as advertised. I didn't like that it has a nonstandard battery type. While it is rechargeable and comes with a charger, it is the kind of thing that will almost certainly wind up resulting in the light becoming unusable down the road. In this day and age, it is odd that one would not settle on standard components for consumable items.

UPDATE: The seller has responded to my comments and pointed out that the light will also accommodate 3 AAA batteries, so my complaint is not valid. But I did not receive the adapter required to use those batteries and when the seller realized my situation they indicated that they would send me one. Have not received it yet, but I have no doubt they will do as they promised - this is a very good seller and I am pleased that they straightened it out for me.
Convenience, Brightness, Functionality are Super with the OxyLED
Adler✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 1, 2016
This was really an outstanding purchase. I've had numerous lights over the years and hated every one of them. This is a very convenient light. It offers 5 modes. High, Medium, Low , Strobe, and Flashing. It is very bright and will light up a dark room. It comes with a plastic case which encloses a charger, battery, and casing to use your own batteries if desired. The ability to focus the light to a small circle and then expand it to the size of a wall in the house is super. The size is small, very sturdy, and fits in the palm of your hand. Great for travel , fits anywhere in a bag or even pant pocket. Sometimes items get lost Under the seats in the Car. The brightness and size allows you to easily position it under the seats or furniture in the house. I must say. You see everything. Dark corners are not a mystery. The Price is very reasonable. Also l please read some of the other Amazon reviews. They are very helpful and that is what sold me. A very good experience. A must have for everyone.
