It is hard to get excited about a laundry bag. I purchased 2 different brand ones from Amazon and like the other one a bit better. This was $1 cheaper though. The other one has a more secure toggle/cord lock. The one provided here is spring loaded so it is faster and easier to apply, but it can slide open if the bag is really full while you are carrying it.

Nice strong bag. It fit an extra large load with ease. The strap is strong and convenient. Be aware tho if you throw your bag in the wash [like I'm sure most of us do].. the metal button caps that stop the strap from fraying at the stitch points, will fall off. Haven't had any big problems but that's something to watch for.

I can fit about 2 wks worth (2 large loads) of laundry in the bag easily. I rated 4 stars because the bag doesn't close well, even with one load I've found that I have to tie the strings to the arm strap to keep is closed. Outside of that, no complaints.

the issue of bags opening while carried is very easy to fix- slip the string through the grommet and tie it off. i use a double slipknot and can't get to move with all my strength

A Cheap But Effective Laundry Bag

I was hesitant to buy this after reading all the negative reviews, but this bag has been a good (inexpensive) investment so far. I've been using it weekly for three months now. I needed something to lug my laundry from my apartment to my parents' house, so it can easily fit one week's laundry for one person. (For more than one person, this bag would be too small or get too heavy.) As far as the drawstring issue people are reporting about, I just tie a *loose* knot after moving the black plastic cinch down, and this has kept the bag closed.
For the money, this is worth it. If you're looking to spend more than $10, I'd maybe suggest the XL boat and tote bag from a certain retailer based in Maine; but for a poor teacher on a tight budget like me, this is all I need.
