Easier than a trip to hardware store

I don't know why ice machine cleaner is so expensive or why I have to clean my ice machine so much, but this stuff works well. I find that my machine needs to be cleaned when it starts making this circulating swishing noise. One bottle of this stuff (directions are on the bottle) and the ice machine is back to working normally.

I also don't know why it takes a few days to ship this item but that has been consistent for the years I have been buying it.

At the risk of making this product sound like a magic elixir, it brought life back to our 15-year old KitchenAid ice maker. We purchased our home with this existing ice maker just over a year ago. The ice maker production started slowly going down. The interior light stopped working and the countertop above the unit was noticeably warm to the touch. After the ice production almost stopped, I began my research and learned about this cleaner and the need for routine cleaning. I ran two cleaning cycles with this product and I could not believe the difference. Ice is literally overflowing and the light started working again. I already have the next cleaning cycle scheduled on my calendar six months out. Well worth the cost.

This was the recommended for maintenance of our ice machine. I think it has been a major reason our machine is still going strong after 12 years.

I am ashamed to say I did not adequately clean my Opal Ice Maker for a year and a half. I was worried. The cleaner started bubbling as soon as it touched any residue, and it all just washed off. I even used it on water stains on my stainless steel counter and they came right off. I love this stuff!!
