This is a fun novelty gift, would have been better if it were made of metal (instead of plastic) but I'm not sure what I expected at this price point. I mean I'm cutting cake with it not hunting down the Yakuza, right?
Fun, but not too functional

While this a fun concept and design, the build quality is not great. It is too flimsy to cut anything other than the softest of cakes. I couldn't use it to cut a tart, and it struggled in brownies. Cuts sponge cakes well, though. All in all, I wish that I had gone for function over form, and bought something else.
Not an ideal cake cutter

This was actually a disappointing item. I knew it would be plastic but the knife part is a big thick to be a good cake cutter. I thought it would be fun to use when our karate students get their black belts and we have cake to celebrate. I don't think we will ever use it because the blade part is so thick that it is not suited for cake cutting.
