I love this set of food. It's made of good quality hard plastic, painted very well and so many pieces; it's not that soft plastic that you can "indent" by pushing or squishing it. I know the description lists what all it comes with but I was amazed with what all it came with. All in total filled up one of the foldable containers that we store the food in. I recommend this to anyone!

My kid loves these but they are a nightmare for me. So. Many. Pieces.....but that's a choice of toy problem. As far as quality, they were not great. I was slightly misled but several of the reviews stating that. There were jagged and sharp edges on about half the pieces. The paint or whatever they are coated with came off very easily and within the first week of use. That concerned me a bit and I threw out a few for fear my kid was putting something possibly toxic in his mouth. For what it is, they are just ok. Cheap pretend food for a play kitchen, so it did meet the need and my child does love playing with them. I just don't think they are good quality and they are made of a kind of plastic that is very loud when dumped out or hits the floor.

My 2 toddlers (3yr,2yr) needed some new play food and after looking on Amazon I came across this set. Some reviews said they received another brand that was not Kidkraft as pictured. However, I received the displayed Kidkraft set. Before giving it to my kids I inspected it and everything seems fine. The plastic is somewhat thick and sturdy. However, there are a few foods in which the plastic is thinner and for more bendable like the corn, hot dog, eggs, and Burger Patty. But, for the most part the foods are sturdy. The colors are pretty much spot on in terms of matching real life foods and there is a wide variety of foods (diary,veg, meat,grain,desserts, and etc) . The bottle and box products (eg :mac n cheese,milk ) are made of plastic as well. There are no cardboard items in the entire set! This is a huge plus for those who have younger kids that will shred any paper like material in sight There was no harsh paint smell or items that were broken. I think they will do the job. They also don't look too cheap looking ! I took off one star for the few items (10%) that are thinner and more bendable . So far I think it was a great buy especially for the price and quantity!!

I'm super disappointed. I was really looking forward to giving this set to my 20 month old. It is COMPLETELY different from the pictures. It was "Kangaroo" brand, NOT kidkraft. The pieces didn't look nearly as nice, hardy or detailed as advertised in the photos (see pictures I attached). They look SUPER cheap, and not NEARLY as realistic as in the advertised photos. I'm also really unhappy that the "boxes" are all cardboard, not plastic as advertised. The proportions are quite different from the ones shown in the pictures as well. I'm really unhappy with this purchase and will be returning it today.

This is definitely a BARGAIN!! Can tell that the supplier and/or designer of these pretend play food - Loved FOOD/Loved Children:)..., detail was exceptional..., most of the products came in twos (no fighting:) attention to color and details was exceptionally nice..., cubes of butter is separate so your child can put a 'pat of butter' on waffles..., the corn ..., and/or other food products..., hardly no 'cardboard' items..., extremely nice and water proof ..., washable:) Group activity and learning to share with others..., definitely a 'complete set'..., in ONE PACKAGE:) The price was very reasonable..., the labels are put on already..., this toy is READY straight from the package and YEARS of enjoyment/very durably made...!!!!
