Poor quality for an expensive product?

I have been using the Aquagenix shower head for 2 years now, which carries a lifetime warranty. We dont use one of them too frequently. The other one that is frequently used has run into several issues including the hose that has leaked several times. on complaining about this I was sent a replacement hose after about 3-4 months, which also started leaking in about 2 months. I had to go to Home depot and buy a $20 hose as replacement which works now. The swivel control valve (rain shower head to hand held shower head) stopped working a couple of days back and no matter what I try to do, I cant get the rain shower head to work. I need a replacement to this control valve. Should these parts be breaking on such expensive shower heads so quickly?
My Favorite of All Relatively Inexpensive Residential Shower Heads

Love it. With my water pressure I could only get the threaded connections to stop leaking by using the included Teflon tape although instructions said to not use it where I did. I don't recommend you do what I did. Looked at more than 50 residential products for the best of what I've experienced commercially, internationally in 4 and 5 star hotels. Would like to have the wide head 3 to 5 inches wider diameter, but this is the closet I found in a relatively inexpensive product for residential use, compared to be best of the best commercial products I've used worldwide.
Works as expected for the price, nothing more, nothing less.

The kit was so complete and install ready that it even included teflon tape- that was very appreciated! The overall quality is just kind of meh though, I probably won't buy any shower hardware that is plastic like this again. The dual shower head design is a favorite my family and it works as expected.

Awesome rain shower. It is not all metal but as I have learned from doing a remodel 5 years ago....the metal stuff can corrode just as easy as plastic. Easier to buy somthing beautiful and functional that's cheaper and easy to replace in a few years, then to spend a bunch of money and still have to replace it anyway.
