Nice band and handy extra hardware

Very nice looking and fitting band. It fit my vintage Benrus watch perfectly (17mm). My watch is gold-colored so I swapped the installed siver buckle with the supplied gold one. It's a good thing they supply lug spring pins since both of the VERY corrosion-frozen 50+ year-old pins on the watch broke when I tried to remove them.

This is a nice band but it is too short for a man's wrist. I have normal proportions but on my wrist the band just barely fits on the loosest hole and doesn't have much tail to fit into the retaining loop.

I have only had the watch strap a few days , so it is too early to judge it's durability. It is an attractive looking strap, true to the color shown in the picture. The strap is very stiff. My biggest complaint is the extreme difficulty in fitting the strap to my Anne Klein watch. It was too big, although it was marked size #14, the same as the old strap. It took ages to install it and my husband had to shave the ends of the leather, to make it fit. The fact that it was very stiff didn't help either. I may have saved a few dollars buying from Amazon but the next strap I purchase will be from a jeweler who sizes and installs the strap.

The band is attractive, and seems to be well made. The leather is thick and stiff, it is a little short for my 6.5-inch wrist, but I can wear it. I hope that it will soften a bit with use and also stretch some. I have deducted one star for these shortcomings.
