This is a beautiful bass drum, I think for the money it is a good deal. Considering how much you pay today for bargain brands, go ahead and get the Yamaha and you wont be sorry.

I doubt I could've found a better snare on here for the money. I use it to record rock and folk music. It's bright, lively, pleasant overtones.

I ordered the last black snare at the time. Received the snare in good condition. Packaged very well to hopefully prevent damages during shipping which I'm happy for. Looks absolutely beautiful upon removing from package but out of tune. Attempted to tune sounds awful and rattling noises heard somewhere. Disassembled entire drum and discovered about 80-85% of all the hardware screws were all loose. Rechecked and retightened all screws reassembled and sounds much much better. Still not as snappy or deep as I wanted. The snare did come with Remo's bottom of the barrel skins which are probably the cause of sound otherwise for a cheap snare it's definitely worth it's value. Absolutely change skins asap and possibly upgrade to better hardware and I'm sure this thing would sound pretty good. Best of luck with purchase.
