Easy to install

I got 3 of these for my house. The installation is easy with two people. The material is sturdy and they look elegant.

A couple of tips if you were to install this by yourself:

1. The hardest part is to get the tiny screw in before you tighten the tension. Bring a piece of masking tape with you. Trust me.

2. Take your rod and extend it to the length of your wall. Once you extended, use the masking tape to mark the edge of smaller rod where the big rod meets.

3. Take the rod down, screw in the little screw. Use the masking tape to make sure you have the rod extended to the corrct length.

4. Moment of truth! Take the rod and line them up on your wall. You don't need to make it perfect, just the approximate place as much as possible. Tighten the rod a little for it to hold.

4. Adjust the ends - make sure you have the arrows on the end cap lined up vertically. Once you're happy with the placement, tighten the rod for good.

Hope this helps!
In theory should work, But doesn't.

Worst product. Do not buy. It refuses to stay level, has left huge gashes on my walls. The screw to hold the tension is approximately 2cm long and impossible to properly secure. The end caps do not remain tight to the tension components.

Do not get me wrong a beautiful rod, that in theory should work. I have used a lighter curtain thinking that was the problem, I have tried to re-screw in the tension rod, tried tilting it, jerry-rigging it. I am overall disappointed in the end result and advise future interested customers to take look into other products.
Assembly and tools required, mistepresented

Very frustrated. The ad and box say "NO TOOLS" yet it comes with 3 Allen wrenches (those are tools) and 6 screws! I can't figure it out from the booklet. There is no installation video. I can't figure it out, and I am homebound and can't easily return it. Very upset at the misrepresentation of this product. Other curved rods I have since seen don't require assembly. Very upset. I have to pay someone to put it together for me now. Not happy. Not recommended.
Perfect for renters and allows elbow room

Easy enough to install - a little tricky with the plastic inserts at the expansion point, but we managed. My husband didn't think it would give us more room - he didn't think it was curved enough. He changed his mind after his first shower with the new rod. We love it!
Great Shower Rod, The Screw is Your friend.

I'd like to start off this review by thanking the kind soul that posted their review about how upset he was, because his shower rod wouldn't actually hold tension. The night I moved into my new apartment I was excited to put this up and get a shower, so I could go pass out, because I was exhausted. Unfortunately for myself and the reviewer I'm referencing it was not an easy process. I spent at least an hour messing with it, because no matter how I tried it would not build tension and kept falling down. Finally when I was so frustrated I almost broke down in tears, because I just wanted at shower, so I could go to sleep - I turned to amazon reviews. In the instructions it tells you to expand the rod the full distance, then once it's up, tighten the screw and it will stay in place - this didn't work for us. The reviewer I mentioned had the same problem and after venting his/her frustration revealed that tightening the screw first would let you tighten and shorten or expand the rod. Before our rod would almost fall apart from being too big and then wouldn't let us make is smaller and if it did we couldn't increase the tension, so it stayed up. Having that screw in first let us create the proper tension and it has held up fantastically. I only have one other suggestion and that is, make sure the side with the screw is on the side that you don't usually get in the shower with. I love the shower rod, but my shower rings are CONSTANTLY getting stuck on that screw and it drives me insane. I'm going to take it down and flip it, so it's on the other side, but after the whole installation debacle I've been putting it off, but SOON! haha.

Either way, even with all the frustration, I'm still giving this 4 stars, because it's very sturdy, nice looking and truly adds so much extra room to the bathroom. My fiance begged me to get one and it was hard to talk me into a $30+ shower rod, but I can safely say it was well worth the purchase. My elbows never hit the shower curtain anymore and I don't feel like I'm in a dark den.

Definitely worth the purchase. Hopefully you don't have the screw issue and if you do I hope this review helps you get your shower rod up, so you can relax.
