Works great

I purchased this product to fill a gap in my outside window frame. it had a section with wood rot. I removed the rot and filled it with the wood epox. The window frame looks like new. One word of advice... the wood epox comes in two parts that need to be mixed. When you scoop it out, it is very thick and very difficult to mix together. The instructions say that you and thin it with their other product called Liquid Wood. I used a very small amount of the Liquid Wood, and then the Wood Epox became very pliable and easy to use.
Great Product

I've been using this stuff for years and it has never let me down. There are only two common causes for it failing: 1. using it when it's too cold. Follow instructions! . 2. Using it on wood that is unsound or damp. If it's unsound use Abatron Epoxy Consolidant first. That also needs warm temps and dry substrate.
Over the many year that I was in the construction business, there have only been a few real 'Game Changer' product for wood restoration. This is one of them.
Works very well!

I used this product to fill a damaged area of rotting wood on my small wooden sailboat last summer.
I've had this sailboat for twenty five years now and I'm not quite ready to let it go just yet. The filler
worked well and sanded very easily. It also hardened very strong, I was surprised how strong it was.
I used the boat all summer and it still looks GREAT! Highly recommend.
Hands down beat Plastic Wood as a wood filler

A friend recommended this product to fix window sash wood rot. Although it was a bit pricey (reason for 4 stars for value), I tried it. I dug out all the wood rot from the bottom pieces of the upper and lower sashes from a double hung window (probably 20% of the wood) and applied the product in accordance with the directions. I used a putty knife dipping it in Xylene so the product would not stick to it to smooth and make sharp edges to minimize sanding. I let set overnight and used a palm sander the next day. Sanding was easy. The new "wood" was solid. I painted after sanding and the sash sections were completely restored. Tip - I cut small pieces of polyboard coated with WD-40 to fit in the sash channels (for termopane window and weather stripping) to keep the product out. I was able to extract them after the product setup without breaking the new "wood". I will never go back to Plastic Wood. Abatron WoodEpox is a fantastic product - wish I knew about it 10 years ago. As an aside, it is not carried by Lowes or Home Depot. Ace does carry it, but they we out. Of course Amazon was able to fill my order. Thanks Jeff.
