Not Suggested for Aquarium Use
tfpala•May 2, 2017
I bought it to play around with it in my saltwater fish tank, unsure of how it would do in saltwater how it was not intended for that. It did not break after putting it in salt water which was a good thing, I found the cord to be a bit short, sure you can add a USB extension but it would not be waterproof. The software is in an Asian dialect, after playing around with it for a while I figured out how to change the default language. I found it difficult to hold and adjust the focus while trying to keep it the same location.
I think if you plan to use it as a microscope on a fixed object it may be ok if you plan on using it for an aquarium the cord link at minimum will be an issue even if you can figure out how to keep you hand ultra steady while focusing and making sure that your laptop does not fall in the tank, but still in sight so that you can see what you are doing.
It seems like this product may also be used for female inspections... one thing to note is that the light gets hot, not warm but hot just after having it one for less then a min.
Some people may think this is an unfair review how I was using it for a fish tank but anyone using it on a fixed surface will most likely have similar issues.

Crap software

Have to jump through hoops and download software for other equipment to use. Not even worth purchasing for all the hell to follow just to use this.
Not a good otoscope
kyldh•June 18, 2016
Even though "otoscope" is listed in the product title, it doesn't work very well for that. I'm having to return it. My ear drum was just a distant blur when trying to use it that way. I will say though, for items that I could see, the image was very clear and detailed. If you're not trying to use this as an Otoscope, it might be a very good camera.

The scope itself works quite well for the money. The enclosed mirror, on the other hand, is junk. The cost to put even a marginal glass mirror would have been minuscule.
