We got it for our young daughter at Christmas. When she took it to the local pool she was the envy of every young girl. It made her feel special. I would buy it for every person I knew. Keep in mind they need to know how to swim because it's a little heavy and difficult in the water if they are unexperienced

My daughter has been wanting one of these for a long time. Years. I was hesitant To buy because they can be dangerous and I didn't want to spend a fortune, but also wanted good quality. I did some research and finally purchased. I absolutely love this one and so glad I purchased. I highly recommend. The quality is great and I recommend buying the fin and bottom cover together so you know they for sure fit and go together. You won't regret buying it! Your daughter will love it. We haven't swam with it yet because it's too cold, but they even give you instructions on how to properly get use to them in the water and properly use. Thank you so much! I have one happy daughter. We purchased the size 10 FYI.

My 8 yr old was dying to have one of these. She earned the money herself having garage sales and saving up"¦ she was SO excited once it arrived! She read all of the instructions, cards and paperwork that it came with. The poster is hanging on her wall. It took her a few attempts to get the hang of it but she quickly caught on and really enjoys pretending she's a mermaid. The tail is well built and we line dry after each use. The price definitely is steep to me and thats why i didn't give it 5 stars. Shoot, for $85 the thing should be motorized, IMO. Its a hit though and since my LO saved up the moolah herself I think its that much more special to her.

My daughter has tiny feet and the other styles (back-strap) would just fall off. This monofin with the neoprene 'boot' design has managed to stay on her after several uses at the pool. It's pretty wonderful. The mermaid tail is awesome, pretty coloring and just nice. It's only flaw is that it keeps slipping off because it's too loose (I think this may be more of a kid issue than product issue).
