Everything works but it does not come with oil. AC is cold

Had it installed 7-30-2020 so just a few hours. It is working well. However, I didn't/don't have a good feeling about the fact that we/installer were forced to essentially guess on how to handle the lack of information provided with the unit. Issues: No data provided with part; installer (mechanic asked how much oil to use; did it come with oil in it). I contacted Amazon customer support by phone to get vendor contact info (none on Amazon dot com). Called (or attempted to call) vendor (distributor). Was on hold for 20 minutes and gave up. Installers need required tech info on part (how much oil is in it; what kind of oil; how much PAG 46 does it need/take). All this info is left for the purchaser/installer to "guess." Very dangerous. If this thing fails prematurely, I'm gonna blame the vendor because I/we weren't told these details and it was VERY difficult (impossible!) to ascertain this information (and it is CRITICAL information!). Buyer beware!

Value for money will change if this unit fails due to the lack of installation information provided!

I will keep the review short I just want to mention three things

there are only 2 ounces of oil that I measured so I dumped it out and added 4 ounces of pag 46 oil

you have to reuse the two old bolts that connect the AC lines. if you look carefully the original bolts are longer than this aftermarket bolt

and don't forget to buy a new O-ring seals they have a universal kit at AutoZone

Perfect bolt on fit for my '06 honda civic 4door lx. The A/C works great and blows cold, but this compressor requires a noticeable amount of extra power to run vs. the original compressor. It's most noticeable when taking off from a stop, or trying to get up to speed on a Freeway on-ramp. The fuel economy loss was around 3mpg for me but it's better than not having A/C. Overall it is a good product and arrived with oil in it and a slight vacuum was present when I removed the plugs which is a sign of a well sealed unit.

Just recently had my mechanic install it for me. It blows very cold air. I did the see the change in power which is obvious with any small engine such as this one. I recommend adding a fuel additive such as a Marvels Mystery Oil to offset the power loss. I wish it had came with more instructions and better packaging. Glad to know it was made in Taiwan since almost any product from that country is known to be of great quality. If anything changes ill be sure to change this review. Ready for this very hot summer in Arizona!
