Great aftershave splash. Cool's any aftershave burns without drying out my face. However, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because I feel I have to use a lotion to hydrate my face after use and the bay rum scent is strong. I can't use cologne when I use this splash because the fragrance's clash. This scent lasts practically all day. I am going to purchase the balm to go along with the splash. Will update after that. If you like the smell of bay rum get this product. I have other aftershave lotions that I use if I prefer to wear cologne.

A very good scent. really treats the skin well after a nice shave. has a cool soothing burn, and a very pleasant scent. i regularly use ogallala, dominica, and captains choice. On my skin it smells like a more elagant captains choice cat of nine tails. This barberry coast has a much more ballanced and full scent, with less overpowering and outstanding tones than the captains choice. deffinitely worth the price difference. the label is fancy and the frosted bottle is a nice touch, really looks classy sitting in my array of bay rums in my section of aftershaves. The scent stayed with me for a few hours, but not overpoweringly all day such as my beloved ogallala bay rum. but thats how i prefer it to be, i intentionally use an aftershave and dont follow it up with a cologne with the intents of a nice subtle scent, and not the chemical doused cheap cologne scent common of foreigners who wish to exterminate a whole room upon entry. Bottom line is to my sensitive skin and nose this aftershave is top line, and i would rate its scent and balanced power as prime for an aftershave.

The aftershave has a very nice spicy scent. The fragrance seems to dissipate after about a couple of hours. On the other hand maybe I just become nose blind to it after two hours. It is not overpowering in the amount I apply (maybe three shakes in the palm of my hand, rub them together and then rub on my face and neck). I was not in the habit of wearing aftershave to begin with as I have known many men who go over board with it. I have worn it when I go out dancing and I can not corroborate the claims that women love it. In fact I have not gotten any comments on it at all. If you want a good classic scent then this would probably be what you are looking for. If you are looking to reenact an old Axe body spray commercial look elsewhere.

Great product. Bayberry Coast's products are among the best after shave products a man can buy. Before this my experience with after shaves was the stuff you could get at the supermarket--aqua velva, old spice, brut, skin bracer,--you get the drift. Bayberry Coast helped open up my eyes to the fact that there was a world out there of premium shaving products that for the most part you can only get online here on amazon or in specialty shaving websites. This was my first real brush with high end after shave. The only thing I can compare this to in the world of high end after shaves is Captain's Choice (there are 3 captain's choice aftershave bottles in my cabinet). And although Captain's Choice is a very good quality and I use it, I feel the Bayberry Coast gives you a higher quality experience for the money. First of all Bayberry Coast uses all natural ingredients so it's safe for those with allergies or sensitive skin. There is no artificial coloring or scents here. The ingredients list on the bottle reads simple and clearly--the way it should: Alcohol,glycerin, bay, cinammon, clove, allspice, orange, vanilla, purified water.

Bay Rum scent is a shaving classic--i think all men have at one time or another put on a bay rum aftershave. Bayberry Coast's spin on the classic is a little bit "sweeter" than the classic bay rum we're all used to but it is still readily identifiable as being bay rum. The bottle is classy and definitely looks good behind the shaving mirror in the medicine cabinet. Barberry Coast's bay rum aftershave splashes on "cold." It is definitely a crisp,cool sensation and a sharp scent that wakes you up in the morning. However, despite the fact that the formula has alcohol you don't feel that painful,excessive "sting" that you do with some of the cheaper drug store after shaves. Not only that but it soothes razor burn on contact!! Bayberry Coast made me realize that aftershave doesn't have to hurt in order to work. After you use it it leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft as a baby for hours--it's almost as if you put on some high quality skin cream on your face. It also firms your skin although it doesn't give you that annoying sense of excessive tightness that you can get from some drug store aftershaves (im looking at you skin bracer) as if someone had just injected botox in your face!! This is truly a man's aftershave.

This is definitely meant to be an aftershave first--not a cologne. The Bay Rum scent although pleasant disappears after about 20 minutes or so. This means that if you shave first after waking up, by the time you are ready to walk out the door to get to work you can splash on your favorite daytime cologne and it wont clash with the aftershave. Last, but not least, you get a lot for your money. By saying that i don't just mean the experience of using it, i mean that the physical bottle itself is large. 4 fluid ounces is about the same height as the base of my palm to the middle of my pinky finger. When you open up the bottle you will be pleased to find that it is not a splash bottle with a large opening but rather it has a dropper hole in the middle--ensuring that you cant waste the after shave by accidentally spilling it etc. In order to get a sufficient amount of splash on your face just shake the dropper on your palm--2 or 3 drops should be enough for one side of your face.

If you are on the fence regarding this product then please don't be--buy this aftershave immediately--you wont regret it. I also heartily recommend Bayberry coast's Havana aftershave splash and their Lavender after shave cream.

I have been wet-shaving for more than a year now, but I never understood the point of aftershave products. I would just lather up, shave with my DE, rinse, and then be done. Then someone who knows me told me about the smells that aftershaves have and some of the benefits to the skin after the shave. This was not my first bay rum aftershave (that would be clubman pinaud), but it is definitely the one I like the most. It makes me smell nice and I don't have to put on body sprays (which I don't like). I would definitely recommend this aftershave to anyone.
