My daughters love to do tea parties (especially the 6 year old), so I bought this for her for christmas. We haven't used it yet, but it seems like a nice set.
I can't vouch for it's durability to kids.
This is not a child size set, though. It seems full sized to me.

I bought this for my 12yr old as a birthday gift. It's absolutely beautiful. She loves it, and we've already had quite the tea party with it!
Great gift for a young girl

This was a great gift for my 8 year old that wants to have real tea parties with hot tea. Cups are large enough to drink from, but still whimsical and fun.
