Surprisingly effective

Irish and I I HATE sunscreen. I know there are potential dangers with powders: possibility of inhaling, getting in eyes, missing spots. But the fact is that I simply avoid putting on other kinds of sunscreen, so this seemed to be the only way I was going to actually get myself to wear any. Expensive, yes. But again, I wouldn't be wearing any sunscreen otherwise.
I still don't like the feeling of anything on my skin, but a light powder is far easier to take. And as I said, it's been surprisingly effective. I had some events in full sun this summer that I know would have resulted in burns and damage if I hadn't had this. It can be hard to tell how much you've actually put on, so I just try to swipe each area a couple of times. I swipe it on any exposed skin: tops of feet, upper chest, neck, shoulders, arms, etc. I feel a bit self conscious putting it on - it must look like I'm fussily applying makeup all over myself with a little brush - but otherwise I'd have to walk around in a tent or suffer sunburns. I hold my breath when putting it on and try to take a few steps away from where I was applying it as soon as I'm done with one area of the body, do the next area, repeat. The container is very light and compact. I keep it in my makeup bag. It's the biggest thing in there, but much lighter and less messy than liquid sunscreen.
I will keep trying other powder brands that seem worth a shot. This is the only one I've tried. So far powder is the one for me.

Great for sensitive skin, and for hair!

LOVE!!! I bought this specifically to use in my hair, where it is thinning a bit and where the part is, because it keeps getting burned and regular sunblock makes my hair greasy and gross ... I have dark brown hair and the tan color blends just fine if you blend it with your fingers (prob even easier on blonde) - and no greasy hair and my head hasn't burned once since using!!
HOWEVER what I found surprising - and wonderful - is how GREAT this is on my face!! I have super sensitive skin so didn't think I'd be able to use on face, however i have had NO bad reaction to this!! In fact, the powder helps keep away shine, absorb sweat, and makes my skin look great (with no breakouts like regular sunblock)!! The translucent skin color hides blemishes and gives me an even skin tone ... Plus NO burn any day I've worn it!
It's also a convenient container, easy for travel and keeping in my purse (and works perfectly fine, if you READ THE DIRECTIONS and click it open and closed, despite some other reviews). I do sometimes prefer to tap the powder onto a bigger/softer brush when home so I get better coverage and less powder flying around, but the brush it came with works ok and still feels good on my face. My first brush/tube lasted about a month before I needed to order a refill, but it's summer and I'm using it often on my entire face and hairline/part, with multiple touch ups when I sweat. I highly recommend this product. Totally worth the price!!

Beige, not clear color. Here is how you open it:

Head's up -- it's not truly "translucent" -- it definitely has a beige color to it; I'd say it has a yellow undertone (the attached picture is where I smeared some of it on the paper instruction booklet that came with it, in the hopes of showing you the color).
Important note on how to open it -- at first, I almost destroyed the packaging because I thought the "open / close" piece to rotate was JUST the dark blue plastic band at the bottom. This is NOT true. You rotate the *entire bottom part* (it contains the powder in it). If you rotate it TOO much to "open", it will come apart and you'll end up with powder all over the floor. Turn it just a little (there is NO "click" sound, even though the instructions say there will be one... just rotate it maybe 1/4 or 1/2 of a turn, then flick your wrist [OVER A SINK so you don't end up with powder all over your bathroom... you'll see some little particles fall into the sink... that's when you know it's ready to start using.)
For the people who have said that they can not tell if it is actually being applied -- I find that hard to believe. Not only does the product have a beige / yellowish color, but well... it's powder. You can see it on your face? If you do not usually wear powder on your face (e.g. foundation) maybe ask someone who does if it's on or not. But basically, it's like power foundation makeup -- I think it's very obvious by looking in the mirror if it is "on" or not, just like it's easy to know if your make up powder has gone on your face.

If you're not getting product you likely haven't set the bottle to OPEN

Many people have posted saying they aren't sure why the powder isn't coming out. At the bottom of the cylinder on the back of it under the ingredients list it says "" - you have to click the bottom segment of the cylinder left to open it. Then remove the cap, lower the clear plastic sleeve, and apply. You will see the dust of the powder as you apply it. Then you click the bottom to the right to close it. Simple.

This is an amazing product and I'm a ginger y'all!! So it works AND it doesn't run into your eyes while you're running/sweating or whatever. It's easy to reapply. It feels great on my skin. I don't get burned. It's the best.
