The USB wire that plugs into the base broke almost immediately, but the battery still works. It's a lovely item but I really wanted one that would plug in so I wouldn't have to change batteries all the time. We'll still use it though.

When plugged into the AC outlet the unit would NOT light up no matter how often and differently I plugged it in. However, when I used the flashlight batteries it worked perfectly. It didn't make sense to me to send it back so I kept it and used it on batteries. I don't know what the seller would have done if I sent it back but I presume they would have sent a replacement.
