DO NOT BUY THIS! I used to make my own sunscreen and I know that this kind of sunscreen needs a LOT of zinc oxide to actually protect the skin from sunburn. This sunscreen DOES NOT protect the skin! My husband and I put A LOT of it on, we tried to make a thick layer, we looked white (which you have to in order to block sun rays) and still, we got burned on the first few hours in the sun! I've never burned using my own sunscreen. The next frustrating thing was that we were on vacation in Mexico, and we had to buy more sunscreen. Ended up buying another sunscreen (can't say the name of it, but I don't like because of all the chemicals, but at least we didn't burn more the rest of the trip) and spent twice the amount on it!!!

I spent an ungodly amount of time looking into sunblock for a trip to Hawaii in June. I was trying to get pregnant and was trying really hard not to use products with a ton of harmful chemicals. This sunblock was rated really well on ewg.com and also had really good reviews. I have to say, finding a product that fit both of these criteria was almost impossible. A lot of the less toxic sunscreens that were rated highly on ewg had terrible reviews. I finally, grudgingly, settled on the Thinksport Sunscreen. I'm really, really glad I chose this product. I have pretty fair skin and tend to burn easily, especially at the beginning of summer. I spent almost all day outside in Hawaii for a week straight and did not burn at all. It is a thicker sunscreen and takes a little more effort to rub in (though not much) and leaves behind a bit of white residue for a little bit, but nothing that would even come close to outweighing the benefits. This is now my go-to sunscreen!

USED AS DIRECTED this is the best sunscreen I've ever used. I'm 64, been an active, outdoors guy all my life--backpacking, surfing, scuba, sailing. I've tried all kinds of sunscreens with varying degrees of success. This one works. Put it on well before you go out in the sun. Rub it in well. Give it time to absorb. Yes, it will leave you looking a little white-ish. That's why it works. It's very water resistant. We just spent 2 weeks on Kauai and were at the beach almost every day-- SUP, sailing, snorkeling, just hanging out in Hanalei Bay. It stayed on in the water and we didn't burn. Of course we also used some common sense. We didn't overdo it the first few days. We wore hats. We wore long sleeves when we knew we were going to be out sailing all day. You remember common sense, right? Still, this stuff does the job. Just use it the way it's supposed to be used. It's sunscreen, not Dumbledore's Magic Anti-Sun Skin Potion.

My husband and I are active, cycling and paddle boarding, and I am glad we didn't try this with those activities because we both got sunburned just sitting at the beach! We both got burned sitting at the beach and going in the water 1x for just over an hour. I thought we maybe didn't reapply in time since it says 80 minutes and we reapplied at 75 minutes. Tried again and made sure to reapply every 60 minutes and still got burned with zero activity! My husband looked red after 15 minutes at the beach and it was like it was a sunburn accelerant vs sunblock! I haven't had a sunburn in over 5 years using conventional sunblocks. Sadly our purchase of 5 bottles of this are a waste. Bad batch? Too costly to know, but extremely disappointed and sunburned ...

I have tried about every sunscreen on my children that the EWG has rated a one and this is the winner! I love this sunscreen and tell everyone, especially mothers about it. I will never change my sunscreen again. It smells nice, it's thinner than the other non-nano zinc oxide formulas, easy to apply and rubs into the skin great. We have fair Irish skin and have used this during peak sun hours in the Outer Banks of NC and no sunburn. I promise you, if you have been looking for a healthy non-toxic sunscreen you will not look any further than Thinksport. Obviously I would reccomend this product any day of the week!
