Very well designed And great quality product extremely versatile does provide an excellent full body workout do not underestimate this bag!

These bags are fantastic for rotational exercises. I have a LOT of tension in my upper back and I really impressed with how working with a Bulgarian bag melted it away. Its not a permanent effect yet but I also just started working with the bag. These are used very differently than a sandbag and I haven't found any other tool that works the back like this. Great for grip strength too.

Im about 6'2" and 185lbs and more farm boy strong than gym strong. I went with the 26lb and its a big challenge but the bags are expensive and I'd rather be careful rather than quickly outgrow the lower weights. I guess its your call what size is right for you.

It's very sturdy and made with very good material. My only regret is I would about the one with lower weight because it is very heavy

The Bulgarian Bag (BB) is a well constructed and good-value product. The 2 handles, grip-strips and straps are all useful. I have worked out with one for a number of years. The BB is unique and valuable.

To assist: I am 175 lbs., 5'9", 60+ work out regularly/diversely. For me, the 17 lbs. bag was the correct choice. I believe that the 22 lbs. would have been been fine, too, but 17 lbs. enables more swinging motion, reps 20 and sets 4-5 for my workout. I echo other persons' advice: buy lighter than you first image that you want because the aerobic workout and grip required will burn you adequately. I believe that if I bought "heavier" I would have used it less frequently - that not what "We" want from this device. Remain thoughtful when swinging it, if not, you can get hurt.

Because the bag is quality, baseball glove type, leather, I recommend using an inexpensive mat beneath it.

My bag did not arrive with a DVD. But it was well packaged and include an poster/card of exercises. You can see plenty of impressive workouts on-line and improvise yourself. Enjoy.

WARNING: Purchase a bag that is a size smaller than you think you need. The exercises that Coach Ivanov teaches will burn you down really quickly. Like anything, you will need to "work up" to a new level, and rather than increasing weight, you just increase intensity. I purchased a medium bag, which fit my frame according to the website, however, I probably should have started with a small. I am 5'7" / 140lbs, and the bag is a bit to handle, although I am sure this will fade as my technique begins to improve.

That said, the first thing that I noticed about the bag was the quality. The stitching is great, the grips seem very secure, and the leather is high quality as well. The second thing that I noticed is that it smells terrible right out of the box. Something like half day old fish in a trash can. The smell does fade over time, but don't plan on carrying this in your car immediately after opening it up, or you will be in for a rude awakening.
