Cheap , not reliable and weird colors when they are on

total junk , not too bright , and light colors are from light pink to deep yellow when they are turned on. They have no seal provided with light in box, very cheap quality, do yourself a favor and get a cheapest one from big box store near you , it will be a lot better than those lights

I've been using these now for 6+ months and love them. They are instant on, have a very good warm yellow color (i.e. not blue-ish), throw a lot of light, and have worked well with my recessed lights cans. I initial bought larger ones that didn't fit so make sure you measure your recessed lights appropriately. If there is any question, make sure to buy one of these to check the fit before buying more.
I've also seen recessed fixtures which don't take these types of lights because they are sloped but mine have straight sides so the little metal clips that hold these into place can easily apply pressure and the lights stay in place. As my old compact florescent bulbs fail, I've been replacing them all with these.

Purchased 6 of these to retrofit my old Halo fixtures in the livingroom. I have them wired in series being controlled by a dimmer toggle switch and they work perfectly. Much more light than what i was getting out of my Halo fixtures which had been equipped with 9W PAR20 LED bulbs. Provided that they last this is a perfect upgrade.

Lights look great, but even more importantly the customer service from Torchstar was excellent. We've installed 5 of these now, but somehow the electrician for the last one snapped a clip on the light. I don't think the clips are particularly lightweight (whole construction is good) - so I'm guessing he really had to work to break this one off.
Luckily, we had an extra fixture, but figured we'd see if Torchstar would send us a replacement clip. They responded to our email quickly, asked for a picture of the clip and sales order, and immediately had 2 clips in the mail to us. The replacement clips were to us within days.
