I really like this gate. We had an odd opening between a hallway and living room and this gate fit perfectly with the base legs that keep it standing sturdy. Keeps our small dogs out.
Massive but moveable

Needed two of these gates to corral 2 rambunctious poodle pups. They have not tried to breach the line!
Work well, easy to move and adjust, nice quality.

Nice Gate

This gate was purchased for use with both dogs and a toddler. It was very easy to assemble. I like the height, style and dark wood. However, it is very lightweight and can be easily moved.
Great gate

Really like this expanding gate. Works well for keeping the dog on one side of the house. The cats can jump it and it's just the right height an adult can step over.
Pros: fits a number of spaces, looks nice, doesn't require mounting, easy to assemble, works
Cons: bulky when not in use, doesn't work for dogs that jump (make sure it is on the side of the door way the dog is on or they will just push it out of the way), breaks easily it knocked over
As you can see in the second picture the construction of the gate/barrier isn't as great as it first seems. We will attempt to glue it but it makes the gate very unstable. Both the top side and bottom have separated.

OK for small dogs, well made

SIZE. My doorway is 69-3/4" wide. The gate was barely wide enough to span the doorway. It will not work if the opening is any wider than 70" (as advertised).
EFFECTIVENESS WITH LARGE DOGS. I have an 11 month old golden lab. She quickly saw to insert her snout between the gate and the wall and nudge it away from the wall on one side so she could slip through. I put a chair against the gate to prevent this and next thing I knew she jumped on the chair and was ready to hop over the gate. I could probably use weights or whatever but the bottom line is that the gate by itself is not very effective with a dog that is strong enough to slide it. A large dog can also tip it forward through the doorway or simply leap over it.
EFFECTIVENESS WITH SMALL DOGS. I think the gate would work with small dogs as long as they can't slide it open where it meets the doorway on the left or right side.
CONSTRUCTION. The gate is better made and more attractive than I expected.
DESIGN. It is a good design, easy to expand and lock to a size and position. The biggest weakness is that larger dogs can slide it away from the doorway. You can improve on it by putting a weight over the gate's left and right legs on the dog's side, or pushing a chair up against the gate.
