Winner for the cold winter (comparison with Costco Pacific Coast white goose 650 fp)
wed22✓ Verified Purchase•July 27, 2023
I recently bought Pacific coast goose down comforter (650 fill power) from Costco, which was a very pleasant comforter which they claimed to be for 4 seasons. I just wasn't sure if it was thick enough to bear cold winter season. So I didn't use it and kept on looking online and ordered this one. I see clear difference between the two.
The most distinctive difference is the weight. The cotton itself is thicker by far, so it will already make Egyption bedding much warmer. The filling is twice (or even 3 times) as thicker in Egyption bedding, however, it contains lots of feathers. You can feel the hard feathers just by grabbing, moreover, you can even see the dark feathers through such thick cotton. Meanwhile, the Pacific coast one is filled with really soft down only. When you grab it, you cannot feel any hard feather inside.
I like both for different reasons, but what I was looking for seems to be the Egyption Bedding one, as I was looking for thick one for the coldest winter.
Egyption Bedding
- Heavy in weight and thick
- distinctively contains feathers
- Louder noise making material
- Duvet tabs. Very nice.
- Not suitable for any other season but winter
Pacific Coast 650 fill power
- Softer casing cotton, less noise, white with stripe texture.
- No duvet tab. Suitable for using without Duvet.
- Very fine goose down filling, lighter weight not light enough for summer.
- Suitable for spring, fall and warm winter.
I conclusion, I guess I will have to return the Costco one since I'd rather have light weight for summer and super heavy for winter, and I don't need something that can't cover either. However, if you live in warm region or keep your room temperature warm during the winter, I recommend Costco one since it looks finer product.

UPDATED review:
The seller, Mark, contacted me this time after my review and asked that I give another set the benefit of the doubt, due to the one I received being defective. I said I was willing to give it another chance and leave a better review, but my only question was "What if it arrives the same dimensions as the one I have?" To which went unanswered and he offered me a full refund for the 'defective set'. He was very persistent via Email which I know had the best intentions for good customer service and making things right! I cannot give an accurate review because the one I received he states is defective. It would be dishonest for me to delete the review of the product I received, defective or not. But I added stars again, purely for customer service, he very clearly cares for the reviews of his products and the happiness of the buyer of said products.
Original review:
I give this product 2 stars! I gave one additional star to my initial 1 for comfort. Aside from how noisy it is, it is very comfortable and heavy. Not suitable for summer however!! Often times even with my home at 65 degrees my partner and I wake up in sweat in the middle of the night. The biggest problem for me is that this does NOT fit a king size bed!! Unless you like a square over the area of the surface of the bed with an inch of blanket hanging off the side and that is it. There were previous reviews saying this as well and I cannot find them. I wanted to be sure I wasn't being crazy so I measured several times. I got 96 by 84! That is a huge difference from 106 by 90!!! This is unacceptable and looks unattractive. The description claims that the product is washer safe. I disagree for I had multiple rips in 6 months of owning this comforter and only washed it twice since it started ripping and couldn't. When I had contacted the company, to my own delay, Sam had given me a 50 dollar refund. I do not often write negative reviews but this experience has been mostly negative having spent 150 on a product that barely lasted a year and doesn't even fit a king size mattress. Now I'm out 100 bucks and need a new one that fits my bed and will last at least a year. The reviews are oddly positive.

The media could not be loaded. No more fighting over covers! We have a California King sized bed and I purchased the Persian King Sized Down Comforter (some call it a super-king size comforter). When it arrived, I followed the included instructions - you can lay it out for a day and it will fluff up or you can throw it in the dryer on the "air fluff" setting or low heat setting and it will fluff up in minutes. I'm impatient and choose to throw it in the dryer on air fluff for 20-30 minutes and it came out exactly as it looks in my pictures. My husband sleeps hot and I sleep cold and we both have been sleeping comfortably with this comforter for months. It's very cozy and you can really curl up and swaddle yourself to sleep every night with this soft comforter. I've had no issues with feathers coming out and poking you. The material has stayed put"¦ it has not shifted or bunched up in the corners. I put a duvet cover over it and the temperature is still comfortable and the comforter has stayed locked in place inside the duvet. You don't have to constantly rearrange it. It's been low maintenance. I've not had to refluff it in the dryer. I went with the heavier option because, I wanted a more fluffy and full look and we are not over heating. It is winter time in the Midwest as I write this but, the temperature inside the house is 71° and if im feeling a little warm I just take a leg out and bunch it up between my knees for support and I'm back to a good nights sleep. I highly recommend for the price.

Exactly what I was looking for. The price point is great. I've looked at several brands for goose down and didn't want to spend a fortune and be unhappy. I'm very happy with the certifications of this brand and the quality. Packaged nicely, pics included, I chose the air fluff dryer method I dampened a few white wash cloths with warm water and lavender essential oil and it fluffed perfectly. I did not notice an odor and saw no loose down. Seams and piping are well made. The lift us just what I wanted. I put the queen in a very old king duvet and fluffed everything into place. It's quiet! Very very pleased!!!
Owned since 3/2019 - just buy it you’ll love it.

I purchased this back in 2019 and it's held up wonderfully. I'm a hot sleeper but my passengers have really loved the warmth of this down comforter year round but in the winter sometimes they would need an extra blanket, because I keep my bedroom at 65-66. I leave it on my bed year round with no complaints -winter and here in the north east we get days up to 95 in the summer and it keeps me cool and -10 in the winter. I have had multiple duvet covers on this comforter so it's held up fantastically and honestly is still in perfect shape but it needs to be dry cleaned. It hasn't leaked or ripped but I don't have animals that could damage it. I've had cheaper Egyptian cotton sheets in the past that just tear along the seams but those were of a much lower quality than this. Easily could be worth double the cost of you get it at around the $120-140 price.
