I use this on a reef aquarium. It gives me control of all of my equipment. no more chasing a mess of cables to turn off pumps and skimmers durring water changes. Just a flip of a couple switches and I am set.
I did modify it a bit. I used aquarium sealant to seal all of the seams and screw heads. After plugging in the equipment I painted the plugs and sockets with Plasti-dip from home depot. It is mounted high inside of my stand and is exposed to high levels of evaporation. Thats the reason for the water proofing. 10/10, would buy again.

Useful Power Strip

First off, this is NOT a power conditioner- it's a power strip. That doesn't mean it's not a good product, but you will need good clean, grounded power outlets to get optimal performance from this unit as it will not "condition" the power like a Furman or similar. That being said, this unit is awesome in my outboard audio processing rack in my studio. I use it to power up or down my gear that lacks a on/off switch.
The switches feel nice and tight, they all light up evenly when engaged, and plugs fit snugly in the back, just like they should (and their vertical layout is good for wall-warts.)
My only complaints are that it lacks at least one front faceplate mounted outlet (standard for most rackmount power strips/conditioners) and the rack ears are a bit thin (as noted by other reviewers as well.) These are not dealbreakers for me but did make me hesitant to rate it at 5 stars.

Great solution to my jumbled up mess of power strips in my aquarium stand. Being able to turn of single units individually is really nice for a marine aquarium sump area.
Perfect for aquarium, add 1ft extension pack

Perfect for my aquarium. Just enough outlets to run everything on its own channel. You need to add "best honor" 1ft extensions. Also I used the "clear max" y-splitters to run my 2x2 channel lights off one outlet. This works waaay better than a buncha power strips, better organized, and more accurate control of equipment during tank maintenance. I compared these units carefully and this one is clear winner for quality and features. Has 16 gauge wire, breaker, lighted switches. Looks professional in my cabinet.
Nice big, firm, solid switches needs to be packed properly

I'm using this in an audio production studio, my equipment consist of pre-amps, mixers, studio monitors etc. so I know it can handle the load I throw at it. Since it is the standard 19' rack size I wish it came with 4 screws but no, it didn't it came damaged though, the packaging was too big for it so I guess it dance around in shipping and one of the ear got bent. I had to use a pliers to straighten it and in doing so it got defaced a bit.
