I shoot a semi auto and my chokes seem to get a lot of plastic build up. This stuff works like a charm. I usually soak the over night and then brush them out. The smell is nice because it is citrus based. Every once in a while I strain it to make it last a little longer.

The longer you can soak the tubes the better it is. Really needs an hour to dissolve the build-up on the outside of my Pure Gold Ported Stainless chokes tubes. An hour soaking and a few quick strokes with a small brass wire brush. Expensive fir what it is. Just a concentrated citrus cleaner.

This was recommended to me by my grandson's trap coach/instructor. He is also a professional shooter and at the end of one session I asked him what was the best cleaner for plastic wad residue in choke tubes. He said this was the best so I tried it. Put a nasty choke tube into the jar overnight and wiped it perfectly clean the next day. No scrubbing, no brass brush required. He said that his experience is that the 15oz jar will last for a year, by then there is enough crud at the bottom he just tosses the whole thing and buys a new jar. This is the real McCoy!
