Easy to use and easy to clean

Easy to use and easy to clean. The shaver works really well too. I have only tried this product with zucchini so far but I am looking to try it on other vegetables too. You will be left with about a 2 inch stub of a zucchini when it gets too short, but just dice that piece into coins and pop them in the oven at 400 with some EVOO for 15 minutes and you will have delicious roasted zucchini (& won't go to waste!)

I have a plastic spiralizer and love it so much I bought this one for my mom. It feels much sturdier and more expensive than mine and I wish I kept it for myself! Plus it comes with a cleaning brush (wish I had one, they can be a pain to clean) and a peeler (not sure about the quality of the peeler, but a great touch).
I use this spiralizer to make 'zoodles' out of zucchini since I cannot eat regular pasta.

I have used this spiralizer many times to make 'zoodles'... from zucchini. I cannot eat wheat pasta and try to avoid grains altogether most of the time. It only takes a few minutes to spiralize an entire zucchini. Sometimes I will just microwave the 'noodles' for several minutes in the microwave then top with sauce. They stay a bit 'al dente' and taste better with spaghetti sauce than regular pasta, in my opinion. Sometimes I will cook the 'noodles' in a pan over the stove for a few minutes and sprinkle them with a bit of salt, pepper, butter and garlic and eat them without any sauce. It is pretty easy to clean this item if I do so IMMEDIATELY after using it. Otherwise, the zucchini bits will dry and harden between the small blades, making it much more difficult to clean.

I don't think the thing that's supposed to hold the food works all that well as it kept slipping out of the food. Other than that, I think it's a good product for the money. I've made zucchini 'spaghetti' a few times with it and am very happy with the final product. This does the job and doesn't take up room on the counter like the big spiralizers. I'd buy it again or give it for a gift.

This is a very simple tool to use. It's like a big pencil sharpener for your veggies. Making zoodles is quick and easy, but there is a bit of waste involved because you can't sharpen the whole thing. You end up with a pointy nubbins that you have to throw away. And if you get greedy and try to slice too much of it, you'll end up cutting your fingers instead: bloody zoodles!
The tool is simple to use and makes great spiralized veggies. It's easy to clean and stores away nicely. I love it.
