Super fast delivery. Well packaged. I love that this birdhouse is maintenance free. It's super cute and I love that it has a real copper roof. It's a wonderful addition to our outdoor garden space. For the post install this is what I did. I went to Home Depot and I purchased the 4 x 4 x 8"˜ Veranda vinyl coated pressure treated pine fence post with cap for $46. The cap is removable so you can put the birdhouse right on top. I then dug a 2 foot hole with the post hole digger. Took literally 5 mins max to dig. You put 2' of the pole in the ground and then the post will be 6' high. No cement needed. Just pack the hole with dirt in sections and tamp it down with the shovel handle. Now you have a super strong post install without.cement. When you order the birdhouse if you use this post I mentioned the actual dimension size to order is 3.5x3.5. 😇

The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with this birdhouse. The seller was very accommodating in providing the smaller post fitting. I did not give this five stars for these two reasons. I hope by including them in my review, the seller takes note and makes adjustments. This is designed for two bird families, one on each side. There is a squared off divider that slides inside to divide the two sides. The problem with this divider is that it only goes to the top of the house part leaving a void above. This allows the birds to go over the top to the other side, building their nest wall up and over, blocking the other side from being used. In my opinion, the divider should come to a peak closing off the open space under the roof. The only other thing is the finial. The fit is very lose. I ended up pushing the pvc pipe [to which the finial is attached] through a piece of styrofoam to help keep it from moving. It fit so lose that I was afraid it could be lifted out in the high winds. If these two things were corrected, I would definitely give this five stars. As you can see, the birds are happy in their new home.

This is the 3rd house we have of this type. Very nice well made birdhouse with real copper roof. We have had several species use it including blue birds.
