It's quicker and creates less dust than other methods.

I used this saw to cut two inch foam board insulation. It did pretty well, but you need to keep the speed consistent or you will built a lot of heat and burn the foam. A Ridgid R8653 was able to cut a few lines, but it drained the batteries very quickly. As for the dust, it make very little compared to any other method I attempted.
Awesome blade for cutting rigid foam insulation!

Holy Cow! I am putting up rigid foam insulation in a 40x40 building and have to cut foam pieces to fit between 2x6 boards. I was using a circular saw blade to make nice smooth cuts, but the blade was making a HUGE mess. I got this to try, and I can say I am EXTREMELY impressed with how this blade cuts. It leaves a nice smooth line and there is very little mess. And I have been able to cut as little as 1/8" x8' long and this blade actually left a nice 8' long piece of foam insulation a bit smaller than 1/8".

I am REALLY glad I found this blade! It has saved me hours of clean-up on this project. It is definitely money well spent!
Not helpful for XPS

I used this for cutting 2" pink Foamular. True, it doesn't generate dust. If that is your main concern, then buy it. I think it's overpriced. The "razor sharp" edge is slightly sharper than a butter knife. Friction from the blade tends to melt foamular as it cuts generating headache-inducing fumes. I eventually resorted to wearing a VOC painter's mask. The thin kerf makes it very finicky about running parallel to a straight edge. I had to true my circular saw a couple of times to fix binding problems.

In the end, I found that high tooth count blades on my table and miter saws make much faster and cleaner cuts with no fumes. Cleaning up pink dust at the end was not a big deal.
It's best to let it cool a bit on long cuts

Performs very well on 2" thick EPS insulation sheets. It's best to let it cool a bit on long cuts. Keep a steady pace and hold your saw with both hands as it will want to grab and kick a little from time to time. I used a wedge to keep the groove open and moved it about every 2 feet on long cuts. Nice clean cuts, no dust!
Works great no snow at all

Was hesitant to buy this blade based on the reviews. We bought this to cut the 2" rigid foam sheets from HD and it works perfectly as advertised. We didn't have to cut slow or anything. Not sure why other users had problems but maybe different types of foam.
