Needs very good tripod

I suggest You shop and compare products carefully when buying a tripod for this lens. This lens is Awesome and needs a very good tripod .The tripod I bought had to much slack or movement in the mount and the end of the lens would move up and down about 1/2 to 3/4 " which really sucked.I would have to set lens above target area then tighten down and hope when it dropped the target was in the viewfinder, took several attempts every time and like I said it was not fun at all. I am returning the tripod I bought and when I find the right one I will post.

This lens has been my go to lens for the moon. It takes time to adjust and adapt to. Once you get the hang of it, it is amazing.

I got this lens yesterday and tried it out last night on the moon. I need practice on focusing it and I am very new to photography. I used the lens with and without the 2x teleconverter. The picture without the 2x teleconverter is more clear then with it. I like the lens and I am very pleased with it. Just need to practice, practice, practice. Picture added is without the 2x teleconverter.

Great picture when you have a quality tripod. Gives excellent definition in the photos. If you are new to photography you will need some practice with this lens.

I had some concerns about using the lens, but I figured it out pretty easily. To get pictures that aren't blurry, the lens must be mounted to a tripod. It takes great pictures! The eagle picture was taken with just the lens, and the moon picture was taken with the 2X converter.
